Haeryongmaeul Guksujip

해룡마을 국수집 Haeryong Maeul is the Haeryong village area of Deokgye that one post walks through on the way in, and guksujip simply means noodle house.

Compiled from 7 blog posts read in fullSources →

A noodle shop on the ground floor of 95 Deokgye-ro 5-gil in Deokgye-dong, Yangju. Banquet noodles are 6,000 won, buckwheat soba, bibim and kimchi noodles 8,000, octopus rice bowls and beef-soup rice 9,900, and shrimp knife-cut noodles or clam sujebi 10,000 — noodles alongside rice bowls and dough soups. You order at a kiosk by the door and help yourself to side dishes from a bar in the middle of the room. We read 14 posts dated April 11 to August 6, 2026; 7 were actual visits. Of the rest, six were about the all-you-can-eat barbecue upstairs in the same building and one about a nearby rice-cake shop, so we left them out.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Ordering is by the kiosk next to the door, three posts say. One group missed it and ordered aloud, and the staff took it kindly without fuss.
  2. It is decorated more like a café than a noodle shop: posts mention yellow walls, pastel chairs and straw ornaments overhead. Two posts describe big windows letting in light and a roomy floor, and two saw celebrity autographs by the entrance.
  3. One post came with a child; it notes a high chair for very small babies and says the child ate the banquet and kimchi noodles.

There is a lot right in front of the shop. Four of the seven visits mention parking there, and two of those came by car — one from a home under five minutes' drive away.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 7 posts read)

One visit says outright that the shop is on the ground floor. The elevator mentioned in the upstairs barbecue posts is about getting to the second floor, so we did not count it here.

We don't know whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in — none of the seven visits said.

Nobody mentioned the restroom — whether it is inside the shop or separated by gender we don't know.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • No post reports waiting. A weekday visitor found the room empty; another watched the tables fill fast near noon and thought a little later would have meant a line. Whether there is a lunch queue we can't say.
  • No visitor wrote about walking from Deokgye Station. The '10 minutes from exit 2' and '663 m' lines are copied listing details, not experience.
  • Few posts say who came along: two came with family (one with a father, one a larger group with a child). None mention friends or a date, and we can't say how it suits a solo diner.
  • Four posts give the same hours, 10:30 to 20:00, and three add a 15:00–16:00 break, last order at 19:30 and Mondays closed — but all four copied this from the listing rather than checking.
  • Prices appear in only two posts, from June and July 2026. One pair spent under 30,000 won on a noodle set, a pork rice bowl, makgeolli and a soft drink, and three posts call it cheap. Two say a large serving costs nothing extra; one says ordering large gets you unlimited noodle refills instead.
  • Two posts list the phone number as 010-8399-2557; another said none was listed. Whether the shop takes reservations nobody said.
  • One post calls it the original branch of a chain across Seoul and Gyeonggi; another calls it the 'Deokgye branch'. We couldn't settle whether it is a franchise or a single shop.
