Gogi Wonchik Deokgyeyeok-jeom
고기원칙 덕계역점 Gogi wonchik means 'the meat principle' — one post says the chain takes the name from its rules on aging time and temperature.

An aged-pork grill house in the Jin Plaza block right by Exit 1 of Deokgye Station. Belly, neck and a cut called 'emperor deotsal' come pre-cut, one portion to a small clay jar, and you grill them at the table. In early-2025 posts a 170 g portion of aged belly was 16,000 won; a family of three paid 75,900 won for three portions of belly, two bottles of soju, pork skin and cold kimchi noodles. A free stew comes with the first meat order, and the self-serve bar has side dishes and a soft-serve machine. Two posts note it is a chain. We read 20 posts from November 2024 to October 2026; 3 were about other shops, and 15 describe a visit. One October 2026 post says the set menus seem to be gone.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Staff start the grilling for you. Four posts say an employee or the owner put the first meat on the grill — though one wondered whether that was standard or just because it was quiet, and another put it down to a slow lunchtime. One post says the husband took over when the owner stepped away.
- Ordering is on a tablet at the table — seven posts say so, and one adds that you pay at the counter on the way out. One parent wrote that the child enjoyed tapping in the order.
- Posts describe it as a family place: five went with family, three of them with children. Two found the sofa-style booths easy with kids, one saw high chairs, and one noted there is no play room. Three posts were couples.
- Eight posts call it clean. The 2024–25 posts tie that to the place being newly opened; two 2026 posts still describe it as the cleanest grill house near the station and the self-serve bar as well kept.
1 more
- Three posts say the aged meat had no off smell. On flavour opinions split: one post found it ordinary, another found the neck just so-so.

Parking

Three posts that drove describe parking: the building has a mechanical car lift that takes you down; one Wednesday-evening visitor found the public lot next door open and apparently free, adding that people park on the street at weekends; another said parking briefly is easy because the area is still being built.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
3 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No visitor described which floor it is on; '1st floor' appears only in addresses and copied location lines.
We don't know whether the entrance has a step or works for wheelchairs and strollers — nobody wrote about it, which is not the same as saying there is a problem.
We don't know where the toilets are. 'Separate men's and women's toilets' appears only in two copied info blocks, not in any visitor's account.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 16 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Only two posts mention waiting: about 30 minutes just after opening in winter 2024, and one who often saw a line outside. Others went on quiet weekday evenings or afternoons; we don't know current wait times. No visitor wrote about booking — it only appears in copied info blocks.
- All opening hours in the posts are copied and they have changed: six posts from November 2024 to May 2025 give 13:00–23:00 daily (one says 16:00–24:00), a July 2026 post gives 12:00–22:00 and an October 2026 post 13:00–22:30. Three say it closes on the second Monday of each month. Check before going.
- Prices appear only in posts up to March 2025; the 2026 posts give none, and one says the sets seem to have been dropped. We don't know what a meal costs now.
- Four 2025 posts give the phone number 031-862-9711; one October 2026 post gives 0507-1368-9711.
- Three posts went up on 24 March 2025 — one from an appliance-rental company's blog, one scraped from listings — and an estate agent's blog also wrote an intro piece. None disclose sponsorship, but we gave them little weight.
