Daebalgwan Sijeun 2
대발관시즌2 Gwan (館) is the 'hall' ending common to Korean-Chinese restaurant names; the posts give no meaning for Daebal, and 'Season 2' was added when the long-running delivery shop remodelled and opened a dining hall.

Daebalgwan Season 2 is a Korean-Chinese restaurant on a corner of the road up to Deokgye Reservoir in Deokgye-dong, Yangju. Posts say a long-running, mostly-delivery shop called Daebalgwan was remodelled into a dine-in hall and renamed 'Season 2'. Jajangmyeon is ₩8,000, jjamppong ₩11,000 and a mini glutinous-rice sweet-and-sour pork ₩12,000 (June 2026 menu); you order on a tablet or kiosk at the table and fetch extra side dishes and rice from a self-serve corner. The most-ordered dishes are the sweet-and-sour pork and the seafood platter jajang. We read 29 posts from May 2025 to October 2026; 27 describe actually eating there.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Big portions are the most repeated point — 18 posts say so. One says a regular bowl here equals a large elsewhere; a mother with two children ordered the two-person seafood jajang and a mini sweet-and-sour pork and left nearly a portion behind; another found the pine-mushroom rice came with half again as much sauce as expected. One writer never got to the free rice because the noodles alone filled her up.
- Side dishes are refilled from a self-serve corner — 19 posts mention it. Pickled radish, onion and black-bean paste come to the table first; after that you fetch radish, onion and kimchi yourself. A rice cooker sits in the same corner, and rice is free for dine-in guests. Six posts mention free self-serve tea and coffee after the meal, one listing pu-erh, buckwheat and green tea alongside coffee.
- You order and pay on the tablet or kiosk at each table — 13 posts say so. Several suggest reading the large wall menu first because the list is long. One May 2025 post recalls paying on the way out instead.
- Posts treat it as a place to bring children. Eight mention seeing high chairs — one counts two by the entrance — and others mention children's cutlery, scissors and ladles at the self-serve corner. Nine posts describe going with kids.
2 more
- Ten posts describe a family meal, four a meal with a spouse, one with a friend. Several noticed solo diners, but no writer went alone.
- Ten posts call the remodelled hall clean; one likens it to a café. Five say the room is spacious, one counts about ten tables of four and eight seats, and one mentions full-height windows onto the street.

Parking

You park right in front of the shop. Eighteen posts mention parking; the five that counted spaces said two to three, three to four, four, about five, and about five. One notes the building has no underground car park, and two say most customers are locals who walk in.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
We don't know the floor layout. The address says ground floor, but no post describes stairs or levels on the way in.
No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or pushchair got in. That means we don't know, not that it's fine.
No post mentions the toilet — whether it is inside or separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions on heat split: five posts found things spicy, two did not. One says the seafood platter jajang was hot enough that a seven-year-old complained, and another advises asking for it milder with children; yet another found the jjamppong pleasantly peppery rather than hot. One writer asked for extra heat and got it.
- Food mostly arrives quickly: four posts say so (jjamppong in five minutes, everything within 10–15 minutes), one found it took a while because everything is cooked to order. Six posts note dishes are made to order. One writer got a free drink from the owner for a wait she didn't think was long.
- No post describes queuing. Three say they sat straight down — at weekend lunch, early weekend lunch with the room to themselves, and around noon. One says the hall filled up right after they arrived around 5 pm. 'Reservations available' appears only in copied listings; nobody reports booking.
- We don't know how easy it is by train or bus. 'Near Deokgye Station' appears only in copied listings; one post says village buses run often and one gives bus directions from Yangju Station, but nobody reports arriving that way. Two posts mention driving, and one warns the location can be confusing the first time.
- Opening hours appear in 25 posts; 23 give 10:30–20:00 daily, last order mostly 19:50, open every day of the year. One says 10:30–22:00, one says opening at 10:00, and single posts give last orders of 19:30 and 19:55. Most of this is copied from the shop's own listing.
- Prices for the same dish differ between posts. One post from 23 April 2026 lists the single seafood jajang, jjamppong and mini sweet-and-sour pork all at ₩10,000; a post copying the June 2026 menu has ₩12,000, ₩11,000 and ₩12,000. Another April post paid ₩12,000 for the mini pork, so the lower figures may come from an old menu. A May 2025 post says prices had gone up slightly since the start of that year. A single meal runs from ₩8,000 for jajangmyeon to ₩13,000 for seafood jjamppong. Two posts call it inexpensive; two hedge, saying it isn't cheap but you get a lot.
- Most posts give the phone number 0507-1377-0462; one September 2025 post lists 031-865-0420. One writer notes the shop sometimes misses calls when delivery orders pile up. Nobody reports making a reservation.
- Eighteen posts from April to June 2026 share the same 'Yangju Chinese restaurant' headline and list the same points in the same order — 35 years in business, the remodel, a notice about multinational staff, the self-serve corner, free rice, high chairs — which looks like a batch of commissioned posts. Two disclose sponsorship and one says it is 'partly self-paid'. All five posts that say the writer paid are outside this batch. The '35 years' and 'used to be delivery-only' lines are the shop's own story, and two posts that guess the owner changed are only guesses.
