Cheorwon Maeul Gogitjip

철원마을고깃집 Cheorwon Maeul means 'Cheorwon village' — Cheorwon is a county in Gangwon Province — and gogitjip means a meat-grilling restaurant; none of the posts explain the link to Cheorwon.

A pork all-you-can-eat grill on the second floor of 95 Deokgye-ro 5-gil in Deokgye-dong, Yangju (a noodle shop is downstairs). For 19,900 won per adult you grill frozen pork belly, neck and marinated ribs over charcoal yourself, and the self-bar's fried chicken, tteokbokki, ramyeon and ice cream are included; cold noodles (5,900 won), soybean stew (3,900 won) and steamed egg cost extra. We read 30 posts dated 4 March to 19 September 2026, all from people who ate there; 24 of them fall in March and April.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The meat is thin. Fifteen posts say the frozen belly and neck are sliced thin and cook in moments; only one calls the belly thick.
  2. Meals are timed. Seven posts mention a time limit, six of them giving it as two hours on weekdays and one hour forty minutes on weekends and holidays.
  3. Five posts mention lockers or a wardrobe for coats and bags, there to keep the grill smell off your clothes.
  4. The self-bar's boneless fried chicken gets a lot of attention: eight posts call it crisp, and one says the owner could open a chicken shop.
2 more
  1. Twelve posts went with children, and eight mention high chairs.
  2. Two posts walked from Deokgye station and report 6 and 10 minutes; a third only guessed about 10.

Getting inside

Second floor18 of 30 posts
Lift to the floor9 of 30 posts
Toilet inside2 of 30 posts

The restaurant is upstairs. Eighteen posts mention the second floor and nine mention taking or seeing the lift; one writer with sore legs rode it up.

No post describes the entrance step or actually going in with a wheelchair or pushchair. One says the lift should make it easy, and 'wheelchair accessible' appears only in copied listing text.

Two posts say the toilet is inside the restaurant; separate men's and women's toilets appear only in copied listing text in three posts.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Five posts mention a terrace, but nobody ate out there; two wondered whether tables would ever be set up.
  • Opinions on the ribs' seasoning split: one post found them salty, four did not, and one couple disagreed with each other.
  • No post reports waiting. Three mention waiting seats and one says there are queues at certain times without having queued itself. That means nobody wrote about waiting, not that there is never a wait.
  • Opening hours: 25 posts give 11:30 to 21:30 and 25 say it closes on Mondays, mostly copied from the listing. Two posts (April and September 2026) say 11:00 to 22:00, the September one 'every day'; we cannot tell whether the hours changed.
  • The adult price is 19,900 won in every post from March to September. One post says two adults paid 38,000 won, which doesn't match the 39,800 won another post paid; sides cost extra.
  • Fifteen posts copy the phone number 0507-1482-7234, but none says they booked by phone; 'groups and reservations' is copied listing text.
  • Five posts disclose sponsorship, two say they paid themselves, and 23 say nothing. Three posts share an identical five-hashtag block, but each records an actual meal, so we counted them.
