24si Wonjo Ppyeodagwi

24시 원조뼈다귀 Wonjo ppyeodagwi means 'the original pork bones' — ppyeodagwi is the pork backbone that goes into gamjatang; despite the '24-hour' in the name, two posts say it does not stay open around the clock.

An old gamjatang house on a roadside in Deokgye-dong, Yangju, near Deokgye Middle School. There are two dishes: pork-bone hotpot (small 30,000, medium 45,000, large 60,000 won) and single-serving bone soup (10,000 won). You take your shoes off, sit on cushions on the floor, simmer the pot on a burner and finish with fried rice (2,000 won a portion). We read 12 posts from March 2025 to October 2026; two were about a same-named place in Namyangju and were set aside, one was a nationwide list, and nine describe actual visits.

Location & hours

What sets it apart

  1. Seating is on the floor. Four posts say so, three of them noting you remove your shoes at the door. One was surprised there were only floor tables; another counted about seven tables and says you fetch your own cushion. No post mentions chairs.
  2. Five posts call the portions generous, two disagree and one is undecided. The generous camp describes bones piled like a mountain or a tower; one family took three leftover bones home. The dissenters are a pair who found the small hotpot slightly short, and one diner who thought two bones in the bone soup was a bit little.
  3. Many are repeat customers: five of the nine visit posts say they have been several times or are regulars. Three posts call the owners kind, and one says the place is run by a husband-and-wife pair.

Parking

Posts saying you can park1 of 9 posts

There seems to be no dedicated lot. One post says to park in any free space behind the restaurant or in the free public lot further back; two say there is nowhere right by the door and suggest the roadside or the lot near Deokgye Middle School. Two copied info blocks were not counted.

Getting inside

Toilet inside1 of 9 posts

No post says which floor it is on, only that it sits by the road. That is not confirmation of ground level, just silence.

Nobody mentions a step at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access. Three posts do say you take your shoes off and sit on the floor, so anyone who needs a chair should ask ahead.

One post says the toilet is reached through the back of the restaurant; another warns it is not great, the building being old. Nobody says whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 10 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Despite '24-hour' in the name, two posts say it is not open around the clock, and two more say opening hours are not posted anywhere and advise calling first. Only one post gives times (daily 08:00-23:00), copied from a listing, so we do not know the real hours or closing days.
  • Prices shift over time: a July 2026 post lists the large hotpot at 60,000 won, a September 2026 post at 64,000. With only one later post we cannot confirm a rise. The small at 30,000 won matches in December 2025 and July 2026, and two posts give 10,000 won for the bone soup.
  • One September 2026 post thinks the signboard was recently replaced. No post says the restaurant moved.
  • Only one post covers getting there without a car: a 15-minute walk or 3-minute drive from Exit 1 of Deokgye Station. Nobody mentions buses.
  • Two posts mention waiting and neither had to. One, early on a weekend evening, says groups arrived soon after and a later arrival might have waited; one at lunch saw a steady flow of customers but no queue.
  • Three posts give the same phone number, 031-866-5909. One ordered takeout by phone and picked it up on time, but nobody says whether tables can be reserved.
