What sets it apart

The play room is mostly why people come. Across these posts it gets written about more than the meat does, and the descriptions agree on what is in it: a climbing frame and slide, arcade machines, a claw machine. Four copy out the notice that it is registered with the national children's-playground safety scheme and built from low-emission materials; three mention heating, cooling and an air purifier. Four note a CCTV monitor above the entrance so you can watch from your table — which, they say, makes a table away from the room bearable. Two give an age range and both say four to nine, with an adult required for under-fives. Three report that mentioning a child got them seated near the room. One puts the claw machine at 2,000 won and says it keeps going until you win something. Writers who came without children wrote about it too — several observed that nearly every other table had a child at it.
The soybean-paste stew comes free and refills without limit from the self-serve bar. After the meat itself it is the thing these posts write about most. A second burner is built into the table just for it, five writers note, so it stays at a simmer to the end of the meal — a point they make against the usual grill house, where it arrives once and goes cold. One refills it three times or more, one finished a whole pot alone, three stir rice in at the end. The side dishes work the same way: lettuce, garlic, dipping paste, dressed spring onion, quick-pickled cabbage, seasoned bean sprouts, macaroni-and-corn salad, pickled radish and kimchi are all named, along with scissors, tongs, side plates and children's cutlery. Six writers note there is no table charge.
The line '144 hours at 2C' turns up almost word for word in ten posts. It is written on the wall and the menu and the writers are copying it, usually together with the claim that the butchering is done on site. One adds that the ageing method is certified by a German food institute; another calls it the first proprietary ageing technique in Korea. We have not verified any of this — we count only that several people repeated it. What they did see for themselves is something else: meat hanging in the dining room, a lit ageing fridge on view, and staff cutting to order at the counter. Eight describe that. One asked whether the carcasses hanging from the ceiling were real and was told they are props.
There are several running offers and most of them carry an end date. Seven posts from July 2026 describe a Monday three-for-two: collar on the first and third Monday, belly on the second and fourth, public holidays excluded. Several of them state it runs to the end of July — no post after that month mentions it, so we do not know whether it is still on. Four say a Naver receipt review gets you a free portion of belly; one clarifies that you choose between the belly, a portion of pork skin, or a canned drink. One saw a sign promising raw beef to anyone waiting more than fifteen minutes at the weekend; one spun a prize wheel and won scorched-rice porridge. Eight note that the local Hwaseong currency, Onnuri vouchers, the fuel-cost relief payment and Zeropay are all accepted.
There are three private rooms, taking parties of eight up to twenty-four. Five posts give the numbers; the minimum of eight is the same in all five, and the maximum is twenty-four in four of them, twenty in the fifth. Outside the rooms, one writer reports four-seaters along the window and six-seaters through the middle, and two note partitions high enough that the next table stops registering. Five say a booking gets the table laid before you arrive.
Thickness comes up a lot, and almost always about the collar. Three call it thicker than the collar at an ordinary grill house, one says it grilled up like a steak, and two who normally avoid collar for being dry report that this one was not. Another, who avoids thick cuts as tough, found these tender anyway. Five say salt alone was enough. Besides the usual soybean dip there is an anchovy-sauce dip: two writers love it, one found it a bit fishy.

This is a drive-to place. Six describe an underground car park going down two levels, with up to two and a half hours covered. When it is full people use the public car park next door, and that one does not take the restaurant's validation — three say so, two adding that it gives ninety minutes free anyway. Three take the lift up to the second floor. Three writers regret driving, because it meant no drink with the meat.

Nobody wrote about getting in with a wheelchair or a pushchair. That is not the same as saying you cannot — it means no one looked. Not one post mentions a step at the door or a ramp, and none says whether the toilet could be used from a chair. What is certain is only that the restaurant is on the second floor and that there is a lift: three writers mention it, and all three say no more than that they took it up. On pushchairs the whole record is one line about scooters and buggies parked in a row outside the door — whether they go inside, we do not know.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

Four posts declare that they were paid or hosted. Three do it with a single hashtag at the very bottom (two from July 2026, one from April); the fourth says in the body that it came through a tasting programme and the beef platter was provided. None of the four says anything critical. One further post was dropped from the count altogether — its opening two paragraphs repeat word for word, its claims are sourced from other people's reviews rather than from the visit, and the writer admits to having taken no photographs. We could not treat it as a record of a visit.
Only one writer describes the toilets from having seen them, and that one line says separate men's and women's, inside the building, clean. A second post does contain the words 'separate men's and women's', but as one item in a run of facility tags copied from a listing, so we have not counted it as observation. Whether the toilets are inside the restaurant or out in the corridor, how many cubicles, whether they are cramped — nobody wrote any of it.
Not one post says how to get here by bus or train. All twenty-nine either drove or wrote only about parking. Whether it is walkable, and which stop is nearest, we do not know.
It fills up in the evening. One writer waited fifteen to twenty minutes at the weekend, two report a queue at the dinner peak, three advise booking for weekends. One sat straight down — but they came early. Among posts that give a time, three or four tables at a quarter to six, full soon after six is the pattern. Most of the writers we read either booked or came early, though, so how long the queue actually gets is beyond what we can say.
You grill it yourself. Not one post describes staff doing the cooking, and one states flatly that it is on you. Two call the burner powerful; one is grateful for a control lever that let her cut and turn alone without burning anything. If you are coming with a child, reckon on one adult being tied to the grill — though several writers here note that the play room took the sting out of exactly that.
