Godobeol Hanjeongsik
고도벌한정식 Godo reads as 'ancient capital' and beol as 'plain'; one post was told it is an old Silla place name chosen to stand for tradition and hospitality, and hanjeongsik is a Korean set meal served with many small dishes.

A hanok set-meal restaurant at the entrance to Supmeori village in Bomun-dong, Gyeongju, on the way to the Bomun resort area. Posts say it was Ijo Hanjeongsik until April 2025, when it moved to a new building nearby and took the name Godobeol. The core menu is dried yellow croaker set 29,000 won, braised short-rib set 39,000 won, old-style bulgogi hotpot 18,000 won and a 55,000-won course (all per person); each main comes with many side dishes, a crab doenjang stew and stone-pot rice, followed by a fermented rice drink. We read 30 posts dated 24 April to 24 October 2026; 27 of them describe an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- There are private rooms: fourteen posts saw or used one. Several also noted that hall tables are separated by paper partitions. One couple phoned three months ahead to book a room for eleven for their families' pre-wedding meeting and paid about 550,000 won for the course; another booked a room and pre-ordered the course for a birthday.
- You order from a tablet on the table; nine posts did so. One said tables without a tablet order from staff, and another that you pay at the counter. One post noted that the croaker and short-rib sets can be ordered for one, but everything else needs at least two.
- Most found the seasoning mild: thirteen posts said it was not salty, and one said everything was fairly well seasoned (adding that the writer likes salty food). One post noted the short ribs have no chilli heat at all, and five said the croaker did not taste fishy.
- Two posts queued, both at weekend lunch. One registered on the waiting machine and sat in the waiting area for about 15 minutes, then waited about 20 more for side dishes because of large groups. The other found the place full with a wait but said food came quickly. The '10–20' and '20–30 minute' weekend waits come from one blogger's info boxes, not from experience, so we did not count them.
1 more
- The windows are large: seven posts mentioned looking out at crocks and fields through full-height glass, one said every seat is by a window, and one noted the high ceiling.

Parking
16 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.
| Posts saying you can park | 16 of 27 posts |

Parking was not a worry: sixteen posts said they parked easily in the private lot out front. One family-meeting party had both families arrive at once without trouble; one post found the lot full of cars as they left, and another saw a tour bus parked there. The tip about a free park lot nearby when it fills was hearsay, so we did not count it.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| Separate restrooms | 2 of 27 posts |
|---|
We do not know about floors or stairs: the address says ground floor, but no post described it. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is nothing to report.
We do not know whether wheelchairs or strollers can get in. 'Wheelchair accessible' appears only in three copied info boxes; no post described the entrance step or actually went in with a wheelchair or stroller.
Two posts said the toilets are separate for men and women and two said they were clean, but nobody said whether they are inside the building or outside.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 30 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts say the restaurant moved from the old Ijo Hanjeongsik site to its current building three minutes away in April 2025 and changed its name then. Every post we read is from after the move, so nothing about the old place is mixed in. One post heard it may go back to the old name; no post says that has happened.
- Opening hours come only from copied info boxes. Twenty-three posts gave them: 20 say 11:00–20:40, 21 say closed Tuesdays and 12 give last orders at 19:40. The afternoon break splits 17 to 4 between 15:00–17:00 and 15:30–17:00, and the split does not follow the dates. Two posts say it opens when Tuesday is a public holiday, and two say it closes over Lunar New Year or other holidays.
- Prices did not change from April to October 2026, but views on value split: two posts found it pricier than tourist-area restaurants or warned that a 55,000-won course is a lot, while one was surprised at the quality for the price. Two posts say extra side dishes cost 2,000 won a plate, so we cannot tell whether the two posts that got refills paid for them.
- Bookings are by phone at 054-775-3260 — many posts list the number, and two actually booked (a birthday room and a pre-wedding family room). Beyond the two queue reports above, we do not know how long walk-ins wait.
- No post arrived by bus or train; everyone drove, and one post warned it is a distance from the old town around Hwangnidan-gil. We do not know how practical it is by public transport.
- Many posts follow the same templates: three by one blogger share the same info table and order, two of them marked as sponsored, and two others repeat the same phrases in the same sequence. Four posts disclose sponsorship or perks, two say they paid themselves, and the rest say nothing.
