A mulhoe house on Haeoreum-ro 188beon-gil, facing Sokcho Beach and the Sokcho Eye Ferris wheel. It occupies a whole building: posts describe the first floor as waiting and takeout, the second as the dining room, and the third as group seating. The signature jar mulhoe is 19,000 won and the sea cucumber and abalone version 26,000 won per person. Many diners add mussel soup (15,000 won) or stuffed squid. We read 30 posts from August to October 2026, and 14 of them describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. There is a dedicated waiting area. Five posts sat in it, describing the whole ground floor as a large waiting room, with separate kiosks for the waiting list and for takeout. Two posts actually had to wait, and one says the line moved faster than expected.
  2. The Ferris wheel is in the windows. Eight posts saw the Sokcho Eye through the floor-to-ceiling glass or from a window seat; one seated away from the window says you see it wherever you sit. Three posts went up to the rooftop or the fifth-floor sky stairs for photos, and one couldn't go up because of wind and rain.
  3. Side dishes come with the meal, and four posts say refills are self-service from a side bar. Two ordered on a tablet or kiosk at the table, and several say a serving robot brought the food.
  4. Six posts call the portions large; one says the fish was piled so high there was barely room for chopsticks. Two say that in sea-cucumber closed season the kitchen substitutes extra abalone.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Parking

8 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park8 of 14 posts

Parking is attached. Eight posts say you can park, in a free lot beside or behind the building. Two add that when it's full you can use Sokcho Beach Public Parking Lot 1, a minute away. Three call the lot large, and one notes it has marked bays and is easy to park in.

Getting inside

Second floor6 of 14 posts
Lift to the floor2 of 14 posts

You eat upstairs. Six posts describe eating on the second or third floor. One explains that once your number appears on the ground-floor screen, you go up to the second-floor dining room; others say the third floor is for groups. Two posts mention an elevator. A separate cafe sits on the ground floor, and posts say its drinks can be taken up to the fourth floor.

No post says whether there is a step or ramp at the entrance, or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That means unknown, not absent. Two posts mention an elevator.

None of the posts we counted says where the toilets are or whether they are separated by gender. One post only says they were clean.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 16 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-219 posts in one day
2026-10-204 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Two posts came with family, two by car, and one with a partner. None of the posts we counted came with friends or alone.
  • One post tried to eat in with a dog, was told dogs weren't allowed, and took the food to go instead.
  • Posts agree on opening at 09:00 and closing at 20:50 on weekdays. For Saturday they split: three say open until 21:20, two say 20:50 every day. Three give last orders at 20:00, and two say the place is open every day of the year. Some of these hours are copied listing text at the end of posts.
  • On price, two posts say it isn't cheap, and both add that the amount of seafood justifies it. No post flatly calls it expensive. One post spent 52,000 won on three dishes.
  • Six posts give the same phone number, 033-635-4488. One advises calling ahead to book for groups.
  • The restaurant moved here. One post says the writer has been coming since it stood next to Bukcheong Abai Sundae, and several repeat that it moved to bigger premises in May 2023, though that date is hearsay. Every post we read describes the current building.
  • Fourteen of the 30 posts follow one template: the same phrases in the same order (opposite the Sokcho Eye, next to the public lot, a waiting area, high chairs) and no prices or dish names. We did not count them as visits. Two posts disclose that the restaurant provided the meal, and two more use the same group-dining headline.
