Hampo-gobok
함포고복 Hampo-gobok is an old idiom for eating your fill and drumming on your belly — a picture of carefree, peaceful times.

A butcher-counter hanwoo restaurant in a hanok-style building in Seowon-myeon, Hoengseong, a few minutes' drive from Oak Valley resort. You pick Hoengseong beef at the meat counter, grill it over charcoal at your table, and help yourself to side dishes at a self-serve bar. One June 2026 post gave the table charge as 4,000 won per adult and 2,000 per child, and ribeye at under 60,000 won for 200 g per person. We read 30 posts from June 12 to October 25, 2026; only 7 count as actual visits. The other 23 are templated promotional copy or a listicle, and we did not count them.

What sets it apart
- Repeat visitors write a lot of the real posts: three of the seven visits were returns — one family drops by whenever they're in Wonju, another stops every time they go to Oak Valley, and a third came back after a spring visit.
- One family booked for 6 p.m., called to move it earlier, and was picked up at 4:50 by the restaurant's van; they noted it drops you back too.
- Side dishes sit at a self-serve bar; one visitor went back twice for the cabbage salad with its dressing.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

None of the visited posts said what floor the dining room is on or whether there are stairs — we simply don't know.
One family with a five-month-old wrote that staff gave them a spot where a full-size stroller fit.
Nobody mentioned where the restrooms are or whether they are separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 23 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Most posts about this place are promotional copy: in October 2026 alone, nine posts ran the same lines in the same order, seven more followed another single template, and six further posts share a hashtag-ending format — one even left a generator's 'end of output' marker in. We treated their claims about parking, shuttles and prices as copied text and did not rely on them.
- No one arrived by bus or train; visitors came by car or by the restaurant's Oak Valley pickup van. We don't know whether public transport is practical.
- No post said whether they waited for a table; one June 2026 post only noted it was busy on a weekday evening.
- Of the seven visits, three were with family and one with a partner; none with friends or alone.
- Only one post (June 2026) listed opening hours: daily 10:40 to 21:20, last order 20:40. No second post confirms them.
- Only one visited post (June 2026) gave prices — a 4,000-won table charge and ribeye under 60,000 won for 200 g. We set aside the 27,000-32,000 won per 100 g figure from promotional copy; beyond that one post, the cost of a meal is unknown.
- The phone number 0507-1398-8166 comes from a listicle and the promotional posts. One visitor called to change a booking but didn't write the number down.
