Sun Hansik is a soft-tofu Korean restaurant on Yulgok-ro near Jeongdongjin Station in Gangneung. We read 30 posts from July to October 2026, and only 3 of them record an actual meal: breakfast or an early lunch of jjamppong sundubu or plain Chodang sundubu. One post put the jjamppong sundubu at 14,000 won, citing the shop's own menu photo. Most of the other 27 are promotional copy that repeats the same lines in the same order (no break time, 5:30 a.m. weekend opening, big car park, outdoor seating area), and 6 of them say they were paid. What sets it apart
- You take your shoes off at the entrance. One visiting post said the place looks like a shoes-on restaurant but you remove them right at the door. The same post mentioned a self-serve side-dish bar and coffee (machine and instant mix) by the entrance.
- The two posts that had the jjamppong sundubu split on spice. One found it properly spicy but manageable, and said the heat varied from bowl to bowl. The other said it had no smoky wok flavour and was mild enough for breakfast.
- Two of the three visiting posts called the food ordinary: one said just so-so, the other said nothing special but pleasantly nutty. Two of them chose the place because few restaurants nearby open early.

Nobody said which floor the dining room is on or whether there are stairs. That means we don't know, not that there are none.
Nobody mentioned a step at the door or wheelchair or stroller access. One post says shoes come off at the entrance, so it is worth checking ahead.

What we do not know
- We only know about mornings: two visiting posts found just one other table or a nearly empty room before lunch. Nobody wrote about waiting at lunchtime or on weekend afternoons.
- No visiting post walked from Jeongdongjin Station. The promotional posts keep saying it is close to the station, but the real visitors either just said it was nearby or came by car. We don't know the walking time.
- We can't say much about who goes there: two visiting posts went with a husband, and one mentions coming by car. The 'great for families and groups' line comes from the promotional copy.
- We could not pin down the opening hours. The promotional posts repeat a 5:30 a.m. weekend opening and no afternoon break, but that is the shop's own messaging, so we did not count it. Two visiting posts said it opens at 7 a.m., and one of them, visiting on a holiday morning in late September, said it actually opened a little after 7. Nobody gave a closing time or a day off.
- The only price we have is 14,000 won for the jjamppong sundubu, and that came from the shop's own menu photo. Nobody gave the cost of a full meal or other prices. 'Generous for the price' is a promotional line.
