Haedonga

해돈가 Hae-don-ga can be read word by word as sea, pork and house — which fits a place that grills seafood and pork together on one stone plate.

Compiled from 6 blog posts read in fullSources →

Haedonga sits on the main road at Heonhwa-ro 999 in Jeongdongjin, Gangneung, near Hourglass Park and the Sun Cruise resort, on the ground floor. The draw is the stone-plate samhap set: abalone, whelk, scallops, baby octopus, thin pork belly, tteokgalbi and corn cheese grilled together on one hot plate. There is also black-pork belly and kalguksu noodles, hot or cold. One August 2026 post gives 88,000 won for the large samhap (for 3–4) and 18,000 won per portion of black pork. We read 30 posts dated 4 August to 19 October 2026 and counted 7 as actual visits; 21 belong to a templated batch with identical hashtags and phrasing, and we left them out.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Three posts said the samhap set was not enough food — one asked how 3–4 people were supposed to share the 88,000-won large, another said the pork is thin-sliced and the seafood small. All three ordered extra black pork or noodles. The one post that called the portion generous had only the noodles.
  2. One post asked whether they could pay corkage on a bottle of whisky from the car, and the owner just let them drink it free. The writer noted nobody seemed to have asked before — so this was one evening's answer, not a stated policy.

These are raw counts, not percentages. Someone who did not mention something is not someone who disagreed.

The most ordered dish is Dolpan samhap set (돌판삼합세트) — 5 of 6 posts.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

Parking

Posts saying you can park1 of 6 posts

One post describes the parking from what it saw: two or three spaces in front, with plenty of public lots around Jeongdongjin. That writer did not drive. Other posts' 'three spaces out front, park nearby otherwise' lines are copied from the shop's listing.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 6 posts read)

Only one post mentions the floor: it is on the main road, on the ground floor, and large enough to spot straight away.

Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means we don't know, not that there is a problem.

No post says where the toilet is or whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 22 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post arrived by bus or train. One walked from the Beach Cruise entrance in about 10–15 minutes at an easy pace. A listicle reproduces the shop's directions via village bus 958, but that is copied text, so we did not count it.
  • No post describes waiting. The 4 August 2026 post found the place nearly full at around 8 pm, but does not say they queued.
  • The posts don't add up to a picture of who comes here. Among the visits, one came with family, two drove and one didn't, and none says they came with friends.
  • Three posts agree on opening hours of 10:00–22:00 with a break from 16:00 to 17:00. The closing day varies: the 4 August 2026 post says open daily, a Naver screenshot in a 17 September post shows Monday–Wednesday off, and a 16 October post lists Mondays. Most of this is copied listing info, so we can't tell what changed when — check before going.
  • Only one post (August 2026) gives prices: 88,000 won for the large samhap, 36,000 for two portions of black pork, 8,000 for two fried rices, 9,000 for cold noodles — 172,000 won in all with drinks. The only hint at cost is that same writer wondering if the seafood is what makes it pricey. Nobody priced the two-person set or the jang kalguksu.
  • Two phone numbers circulate: 0507-1327-5569 in two posts and a listicle, 033-644-5999 in the 4 August 2026 post. None of the visits says whether the place takes reservations.
  • Twenty-one posts from 24 August to 19 October 2026 end with the same seven hashtags in the same order, and nearly all repeat the same beats — 'came back after last year', 'leave a receipt review for free soju or beer'. Three pairs posted under different names are paragraph-for-paragraph the same, and one still carries a generator's 'end of output' marker. We counted nothing from this batch, including the review promotion.
