Compiled from 16 blog posts read in fullSources →
Hoengseong Hanu Bonga is a butcher-style Korean beef restaurant set back from Gowon-ro in Dunnae, on the way to Welli Hilli Park. You grill hanu over charcoal; in 2026 posts the house platter of ribeye, boneless short rib and chuck flap cost 120,000 won for 400g and 170,000 won for 600g. Ten of the 17 visit posts also had the Gangwon-style soybean stew (5,000 won). Four posts say the restaurant's van picked them up from their Welli Hilli lodging, which makes it popular with travellers who want to drink. We read 25 posts from June 2025 to October 2026: 17 describe a meal there and 8 only introduce the place.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Three posts, all from 2026, mention a reward for writing a Naver review: one got the 5,000-won stew taken off the bill, one said a receipt review earns various extras, and one forgot about it and paid in full.
- Opinions on price split. Three posts found it cheaper than other hanu places (one called 170,000 won for 600g a fair deal); one post, from October 2025, said the beef is undeniably expensive.
- Four posts call the owners kind. One says the owner's wife came out to explain that the side dishes were grown by the family, another got the stew on the house, and another was brought watermelon after the meal.
- Four posts came with family, three of them with children. One couple ate at leisure while their child napped after swimming; a family of three including a primary-school child was full on the 400g platter.
1 more
- One post notes that the staff set up the charcoal and sides but you grill the meat yourself. No post says staff grill for you.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 1 of 16 posts |
|---|
No post says which floor the dining room is on or whether there are steps. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there are none.
Nobody mentioned a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller.
Only one post mentions the toilet, saying it is inside and clean. Nobody said whether it is separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 24 posts we gathered, 8 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2025-07-17 | 2 posts in one day |

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No visit post arrived by train or bus; everyone drove or took the restaurant's van. Being near Dunnae Station is mentioned only in promotional posts.
- No post reports waiting. One found the place empty; one that went on a holiday weekend found it full.
- Only one post each came with friends, with a partner, or as a group of eight colleagues.
- Five visit posts list the hours as 11:00-22:00 daily, but all of them copied the listing. Nobody mentioned a closing day, a mid-day break or last orders.
- Prices appear properly only in 2026 posts: the platter at 120,000 won for 400g (two posts) and 170,000 won for 600g (one), extra rib-eye cap at 58,000 won for 160g. 2025 posts give only ribeye at 45,000 won, so we cannot tell whether prices rose.
- Many posts give the same phone number, 0507-1416-5597. Several say pickups and special cuts must be arranged by phone in advance, but only one says from experience that you can book a table.
- Twelve of the 25 posts come from two blogs that wrote repeatedly with the same promotional lines (free pickup, no table charge, the booking number). Seven of these describe no actual visit and we did not count them; claims like top-grade beef or home-grown vegetables are the restaurant's own words and we did not rely on them.
