Yumyeong Sikdang
유명식당 Yumyeong means 'famous', so the name reads simply 'Famous Restaurant'; one post says the house is run by a third generation.

A noodle house on Jeonnamu-gil in Daegwallyeong, Pyeongchang, serving buckwheat and acorn makguksu with boiled pork. We read 2 posts from July to September 2026, both from people who ate there. Makguksu was 8,000 won a bowl. One post ate in a homely room where you take your shoes off, and explained that Naver lists two addresses (Jeonnamu-gil 3 and 5-5) for what is the same restaurant, one side being an extension. Per the posted instructions, you take a waiting ticket from the kitchen on your left and pay at the kitchen afterwards.

What sets it apart
- One post says you take your shoes off to go in, and warns you to mind your head in the doorways. That post ate only in the old house side and says it can't speak for the extension.
- The two posts differ on how long food took. One Saturday visitor waited about 25 minutes for noodles after ordering; the other, who had pre-ordered by phone, got food within 5 minutes of walking in.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
Nobody says which floor it is on or whether there are steps. That means we don't know, not that there are none.
Nobody mentions an entrance step or wheelchair or stroller access; all we have is one post saying you remove your shoes to enter. We don't know.
Nobody says whether the toilet is indoors or separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Neither post had to wait, but that is not the whole story. One walked in around 12:30 on a Saturday 'luckily without a wait' as more people kept arriving; the other pre-ordered by phone, arrived at 12:25 on a weekday to a full house, and thinks they would have queued otherwise. The note that weekends and July–August bring waits is copied from the restaurant's own notice.
- One post phoned ahead to book and pre-order. Beyond that single post, nobody says whether bookings are always taken. The only phone number, 033-334-1357, comes from one post's copied info block.
- Opening hours come from one post's copied info only: daily 10:00–19:30, last order 19:00, with possible irregular closures in winter. The other post gives no hours, so we can't cross-check.
- The only price is one post's 8,000 won per bowl of makguksu (24,000 won for three), which it thought fair for today. Nobody gave the price of the pork or the acorn noodles.
- No post describes getting there by bus or train; one says they drove.
- On company, one post was a family trip with husband and children; the other only mentions 'the person I went with', so we can't say how it suits a group of friends.
