영도다리축제

This edition · Data as of · Published ·

Yeongdo Bridge Festival is Yeongdo-gu's yearly celebration of the old drawbridge linking downtown Busan to Yeongdo island. The 34th edition runs Fri 30 Oct – Sun 1 Nov 2026, 10:00–20:00, and is split across two sites: Bongnae-dong Mulyangjang wharf near Yeongdo Bridge (opening night, retro programme) and Amir Park beside the National Maritime Museum (closing night, cooking show, children's events). The official listing gives admission as free, and there is nothing to book to visit. Alongside the official material we read 15 posts by people who went in 2023–2025.

What 15 visitors said

We read 30 blog posts for each of 2023, 2024 and 2025. Of those, 8, 7 and 2 described an actual visit; we picked 7, 6 and 2 with enough detail — 15 in all, every one self-funded. With only two posts for 2025, treat that year lightly.

What people liked

Plenty for children8 of 15 posts

Past visitors keep mentioning hands-on stalls for children: slime, dalgona, fire-fighter dress-up, face painting, and a market run by children themselves. 23-23 23-24 23-26 23-30 24-28 24-29 24-30 25-28

Spacious, with places to sit7 of 15 posts

The grounds are large, with rest tents, camping chairs and covered tables dotted around. One 2023 rest area had a one-hour limit. 23-22 23-23 23-26 23-28 24-29 24-30 25-21

Fair food prices3 of 15 posts

Pancakes around ₩8,000 and two skewers for ₩5,000 felt fair to most; by 2025 one family found most dishes near ₩10,000 a bit steep. 23-23 24-25 24-29

Opening-night fireworks over the sea4 of 15 posts

Past opening nights ended with fireworks over the water, best seen from behind the main stage. This year's official programme does not list fireworks. 23-24 23-27 23-28 24-29

Retro theme and local history6 of 15 posts

A drawbridge-shaped entrance, 1950s photos of Yeongdo and mock-up stationery shops and arcades made an impression. 23-22 23-23 23-26 23-28 23-30 24-24

Good stage shows5 of 15 posts

Headline singers, aerial acrobatics, bands, taekwondo and buskers all drew praise. 23-24 23-28 24-24 24-28 24-29

Free temporary parking5 of 15 posts

Nearby public institutions opened their car parks for free; the museum and cruise terminal charged. 23-22 23-26 24-27 25-21 25-28

What people struggled with

Food-zone seats and queues4 of 15 posts

On weekend evenings tables ran out and food-truck queues were long enough that some gave up. 23-24 24-25 24-29 24-30

Cash-only food tickets (past years)3 of 15 posts

In 2023–24 food tickets were cash or bank transfer only, or stalls took cash only. Cards worked in 2025; this year's arrangement isn't announced. 23-26 23-28 24-25

Car parks full on weekend afternoons2 of 15 posts

On the 2024 Saturday car parks were nearly full by about 3pm. 24-24 24-25

These are raw counts, not percentages. Someone who did not mention something is not someone who disagreed.

Who goes, and when

5 of the 15 posts were written by families with children, so stalls, pushchairs and baby carriers come up a lot. The rest went with friends or on their own.

Visiting from abroad

None (0) of the 15 posts we picked mentions foreign visitors or English help, and neither the official listing nor the Korean-only festival website mentions English guidance. You don't need to book anything: just walk in. Stage acts, the singing contest and flea-market stalls were chosen by open call in Korean, and the contest results are already out. A translation app will help with menus and food tickets.

Weather and crowds

Past visitors mostly had clear skies, though one 2024 post complained of strong sun with little shade, and evenings by the sea were cool. This year's late-October dates are closer to 2025 (7–9 Nov), in autumn-leaf season — bring a layer for the evening. Weekend afternoons were busiest: in 2024 car parks were nearly full by 3pm and food-zone seats ran out by evening. Even the weekday opening day was busy from lunchtime. Friday daytime is your best bet this year, but one visitor found most hot food not ready just after opening. Check the forecast closer to the date.

Getting there and access

The two sites are some distance apart. Amir Park sits next to the National Maritime Museum in Dongsam-dong; Bongnae-dong Mulyangjang is a wharf near the Yeongdo end of Yeongdo Bridge, across the bridge from Nampo (Metro Line 1). No shuttle has been announced for this year yet. In past years free shuttles ran between Amir Park and the bridge (2023) and on two routes every 40 minutes (2025), with staff at the Amir Park bus stop. A taxi is the simplest option — show the driver the Korean names below. Drivers in past years used free temporary car parks at nearby institutions; the museum car park charged (₩2,000 for 3 hours in 2024), and spaces filled early on the 2024 Saturday. Parking at the wharf site is unconfirmed.

No past post mentions wheelchair access. Pushchair reports differ: in 2024 the lawn with the stalls was bumpy and hard going, while in 2025 paths were flat and part of the road was closed to traffic. In 2023 there were clean toilets in several places, including near the entrance and stage. Facilities at the wharf site this year are unconfirmed.

Year by year

Autumn 2023

2023 ran 13–15 Oct, mainly in Amir Park: an opening concert and fireworks over the sea, a '1950s' retro zone with photo studio, a Busan Expo social-media giveaway, and a free shuttle between Amir Park and the bridge.

Autumn 2024

2024 was a two-day event, 12–13 Oct: aerial acrobatics and a band at the opening, fireworks, a children-run market and stalls, mascot giveaways, and a retro corner at the wharf.

Autumn 2025

2025 ran 7–9 Nov in autumn-leaf season: reusable dishes kept the site tidy, food tickets took cards as well as cash, two free shuttle routes ran, and the children's festival stalls were popular.

Tips from people who went

  • Two sites this year: check whether what you want to see is at the wharf or Amir Park.
  • Carry some cash. In 2023–24 food tickets were cash or bank transfer only; cards worked in 2025, but this year is unconfirmed.
  • Food-zone tables fill by evening: grab a seat before buying, ideally before 4pm.
  • Hands-on stalls closed early in past years; go before 6pm.
  • A picnic mat is handy on the lawn.
  • With a baby, a carrier copes with the lawn better than a pushchair.
  • Bring a hat on sunny days.
  • The National Maritime Museum is right next to Amir Park and worth combining.
