Ulsan Culture Expo
울산문화박람회
This edition · Data as of · Published ·
The Ulsan Culture Expo is a four-day indoor showcase of the city's culture — crafts, games, local products and performances — run by the Ulsan Culture and Tourism Foundation. This year it is on 26–29 November 2026 (Thu–Sun), 10:00–18:00, in the ground-floor hall of UECO, the convention centre by Ulsan KTX station. Entry is free; some activities are charged. Every visitor must register, ideally online beforehand. We read Korean blog posts from people who went in 2023–2025 and picked 13.

Who goes, and when
7 of the 13 posts we picked were by parents with children, ranging from babies to primary-school age, mostly locals on a day out.

Visiting from abroad
We found no English information on the official site or the tourism-board listing, and none of the posts we picked mentioned foreign visitors. Register before you go if you can: the form is Korean only, asks for a phone number and confirms by KakaoTalk (there is an 'overseas' option for region). Last year people who hadn't pre-registered signed up at the door; this year's notice says every visitor must register but doesn't say whether walk-up sign-up is offered. Enquiries: 052-255-1948 (weekdays 09:00–18:00).
Weather and crowds
Nobody mentioned the weather — it's all indoors. Weekend visitors last year reported parking queues and long lines at the popular stalls; a weekday visitor found it quiet and easy to browse. Weekday mornings are the calmest time.
Getting there and access
UECO sits right beside Ulsan KTX station, so the train is the easy way in; it's a long way from central Ulsan, as one visitor grumbled. By taxi, show the driver the destination below. Drivers used the underground car park, free during last year's expo, though one waited 10–20 minutes on a weekend afternoon. This year's parking terms and any shuttle have not been announced.
Year by year
Autumn 2023
2023 ran 23–26 November. Visitors mentioned pottery, mother-of-pearl and tea-ceremony sessions, free district activities, an escape-room game by the Jung-gu Cultural Centre, and a tote bag for pre-registering. Traditional music only started on the Friday.
Autumn 2024
2024 ran 21–24 November, with traditional wedding-dress dressing-up and a stamp tour across six halls ending in a prize wheel. Only three food trucks meant pricey, crowded food, and stage sound filled the whole hall.
Autumn 2025
2025 ran later than usual, 4–7 December. The Haemong mascot prize wheel was the hit; there was also a games zone (U-Game FESTA), AI photos at Ulsan landmarks, petroglyph-themed keyrings (₩1,000) and wind chimes, and a supervised children-only play room. Paid activities were mostly ₩10,000, and three paid-activity stickers earned a keyring.
Tips from people who went
- Pre-register online: this year every visitor must register. Last year early registrants got a free tote bag.
- Popular activities used timed slots and were mostly gone by afternoon — arrive at opening and book first.
- Weekdays were noticeably quieter than weekends.
- Last year your wristband allowed re-entry. Seating inside is scarce, so some brought a packed lunch or ate outside.
- Last year three paid-activity stickers earned mascot merchandise; not confirmed for this year.
- Closing is 18:00, but some stalls were packing up after 17:00.
