Sanbuk AI Gimjang Festival
산북AI김장문화축제
This edition · Data as of · Published ·
The Sanbuk AI Gimjang Festival runs on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026 at Sanbuk Sports Park in Sanbuk-myeon, Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do, from 09:00 to 18:00. Entry is free. It is the 22nd Sanbuk Pumsil Festival, rebranded this year around gimjang – the communal autumn kimchi-making that UNESCO lists as intangible heritage – with a nod to AI. The main draw is making your own batch of kimchi on site with salted cabbage and seasoning provided. Prices for the kimchi sessions are not in the official material. We found no visitor write-ups from past years, so this page draws only on the Korea Tourism Organization listing and the festival's own website.

Based on the Korea Tourism Organization listing (updated 1 October 2026), checked on 21 October 2026. Session times and kimchi-making prices are not yet published; the festival runs 09:00–18:00 both days.

Visiting from abroad
The official website is in Korean only, and we found no mention of English-language guidance or anything aimed at foreign visitors. Online booking for the kimchi session is recommended but goes through a Korean booking page. You can also sign up at the main desk (본부석) on the day, though places may run out early. You need bring nothing: salted cabbage, seasoning, rubber gloves, disposable aprons, caps and bags to carry your kimchi home are handed out (supplies for two people per 10 kg). Bear in mind you will be taking home 10–20 kg of kimchi.
Getting there and access
The only access detail in the official material is the address: 36 Geumpum 1-ro, Sanbuk-myeon, Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi-do. We could not confirm bus routes, shuttles or parking; the website has a directions page (in Korean) worth checking before you set off. Do not go to the address in the website footer (93 Sangpum-ro) – that is the organisers' office at the township hall, not the festival ground. If you take a taxi, show the driver the Korean destination below.
