What 18 visitors said

We took the Korea Tourism Organization listing and the official website as the base, then read blog posts year by year. In 2023 we read 1 post with no actual visit; in 2024 we read 26, of which 13 described a visit and we picked 8; in 2025 we read 30, 16 described a visit and we picked 10 — 18 in all. We chose posts with concrete dates, weather, crowds and prices.

What people liked

Views from the Y-shaped bridge7 of 18 posts

7 of the 18 posts we picked named the gorge and garden views from the Y-shaped bridge and its viewpoint as the highlight. 24-14 24-16 25-12 25-13 25-14 25-16 25-22

Much of the ticket comes back as vouchers14 of 18 posts

14 of 18 posts mentioned getting part of the entry fee (and sometimes the e-bike fee) back as local vouchers, making the day cheap. Past visitors spent them at the food trucks and market. 24-06 24-11 24-14 24-16 24-17 24-18 25-11 25-13 25-14 25-16 25-17 25-20 25-22 25-29

Big flower fields and photo spots10 of 18 posts

10 of 18 posts praised the variety of flowers and the many photo spots — the pampas-grass maze, cosmos beds and sculptures come up often. 24-06 24-10 24-11 24-17 24-18 25-12 25-13 25-14 25-20 25-29

E-bikes make the large site easy6 of 18 posts

6 of 18 posts said hiring an e-bike made the large site easy to cover, especially with children or older relatives. 24-06 25-11 25-13 25-14 25-16 25-20

Plenty for children5 of 18 posts

5 of 18 posts said children loved the maze, stone-stacking, traditional games and play areas. 25-13 25-14 25-16 25-20 25-22

Food trucks and the river market7 of 18 posts

7 of 18 posts liked the range of food trucks, stalls and the river market, with prices close to normal. Seating ran short on busy days. 24-06 24-18 25-04 25-11 25-13 25-22 25-29

What people struggled with

The bridge sways a lot7 of 18 posts

7 of 18 posts said the bridge sways more than expected. Some loved it; others found it frightening or felt queasy. It moves more when crowded. 24-10 24-11 24-17 24-18 25-11 25-16 25-29

Long e-bike queues4 of 18 posts

4 of 18 posts complained of long, slow e-bike queues; one family on a holiday gave up altogether. Arriving early helps. 24-06 24-10 25-13 25-22

Holiday crowds6 of 18 posts

6 of 18 posts described public holidays as packed: full car parks, long queues and, on one concert night, hours of traffic. 24-11 24-14 25-14 25-16 25-17 25-22

Hot with little shade3 of 18 posts

3 of 18 posts said there is almost no shade, so midday in September and even October felt very hot. 24-06 24-10 24-18

These are raw counts, not percentages. Someone who did not mention something is not someone who disagreed.

Who goes, and when

Past visitors were mostly families on a day out. 7 of the 18 posts we picked involved children, several with grandparents in tow, and one family pushed a baby round in a wagon.

Visiting from abroad

There is no advance booking in the official material — buy tickets at the gate; in 2025 there were ticket kiosks, and one 2024 visitor said only cards were accepted. We found no official English guidance, though a 2025 visitor noted the price board had English alongside Korean, and a 2024 visitor saw foreign tour groups. Most discounts (Pocheon residents, twin-city residents, Korean veterans) won't apply to visitors, but under-7s go free. The vouchers you get back are for spending on site, so use them before you leave.

Weather and crowds

Early September can feel like midsummer — one visitor in 2024 gave up in 33°C heat, and there is little shade even in mid-October. The busiest days were the Chuseok holiday and early-October public holidays, with full car parks and long queues for tickets, the bridge and food. Go at opening: past visitors who arrived for the 9:00 start found the bridge quiet, filling up as the day went on; another advised arriving before 10:00. One family visiting in an October holiday found many flowers past their best, so late in the run expect fewer blooms. Bring a layer for cooler mornings and evenings.

Getting there and access

The official address is 832 Changdong-ro, Gwanin-myeon, Pocheon. Almost every past visitor drove. The car park at the main gate was large and free; the back entrance by the bridge has little parking and the narrow road clogs with verge parking. Some parked by Bidulginang Waterfall or the Sky Bridge and walked in, which meant stairs, forest boardwalks and hunting for the ticket office. On one holiday concert night in 2025 the single access road jammed for hours and there was no shuttle. We could not confirm any 2026 bus or shuttle service in the official material — check the 'Directions' page on the official website. Without a car, a taxi is the realistic option: show the driver the destination card below, and ask how you will get back, as this is a rural area.

Disabled visitors enter free (one person for mild disabilities; two, including a carer, for severe). The official material says nothing about wheelchair routes or accessible toilets. Past visitors found it easy going with prams and wagons, and reported clean toilets dotted around the site plus a baby-feeding room. Bikes and scooters were not allowed on the bridge, and pets had to be carried or caged because of gaps in the deck. The walk in from the Sky Bridge or Bidulginang Waterfall involves stairs and forest paths, so use the main gate.

Year by year

Autumn 2024

In 2024 the official dates were 7 September to 13 October, later extended to 31 October according to one visitor. Adults paid ₩6,000 (₩3,000 back) and e-bikes cost ₩30,000 an hour (₩15,000 back). That year had zinnia fields, a rose garden, a viewpoint over aster beds and a dog playground; one visitor said payment was card-only.

Autumn 2025

In 2025 the festival ran from 6 September to 2 November. One visitor got in free in the opening week; from 13 September adults paid ₩6,000 and under-19s ₩4,000, half back in vouchers. E-bikes were ₩30,000 (fully electric) or ₩25,000 (pedal-assist) an hour. Extras that year included a tropical garden with bananas and papayas, an evening light and media show, and bouquet-making for e-bike riders. A drone show and concert on 9 October brought hours of gridlock.

Tips from people who went

  • The festival is closed on Tuesdays. There is a separate notice about Tuesday 27 October — check the official website.
  • Last entry is 17:00; e-bike ticket sales stop at 16:30.
  • Arrive at opening (9:00) and cross the bridge first, before the queues build.
  • If you want an e-bike, past visitors suggest one person joins the hire queue straight away; the fully electric ones cope better with slopes.
  • Hold onto your phone on the bridge, and grip the rail — it sways.
  • Wear trainers and a hat, carry water and a layer; there is almost no shade.
  • Spend your refund vouchers at the food trucks and market before leaving.
  • Pair the visit with Bidulginang Waterfall and the Hantangang Sky Bridge nearby.
  • If you are paying a discounted rate, bring ID.
