Gimpo Marine Corps Culture Festival at Daemyeong Port
김포 해병대 문화축제 in 대명항
This edition · Data as of · Published ·
A one-day festival celebrating the Republic of Korea Marine Corps, held in Gimpo, home of the Marines' 2nd Division. This year it runs on Saturday 7 November 2026, 11:00–19:00, at Gimpo Naval Ship Park and around Daemyeong Port, and the official listing gives the price as free. Daytime brings Marine equipment displays, military band and honour guard performances and hands-on crafts. Around sunset the 'Sunset Night Market' food fair opens on the rooftop of the port's seafood market. We read 5 blog posts about last year's edition, but none came from people who actually went, so this page relies on official information only.

Visiting from abroad
The official material mentions no English-language guidance and no programmes aimed at foreign visitors. Nor does it mention advance booking. Capacity limits and sign-up arrangements for the hands-on activities have not been announced. Most information is likely to be in Korean only, so a translation app will help.
Getting there and access
The official address is 110-36 Daemyeonghang 1-ro, Daegot-myeon, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do. We could not confirm public transport routes, festival shuttle buses or parking from the official material. If you take a taxi, show the driver the landmark below: Gimpo Naval Ship Park at Daemyeong Port. Daemyeong Port is on Gimpo's west coast, well outside central Seoul, so allow plenty of time. Check the Gimpo City website for shuttle and parking notices before you set off.
