Sinsen
신센 Shinsen is a Japanese word; one blogger notes it can mean 'fresh' (新鮮) or 'a transcendent immortal' (神仙) — the shop itself does not say which.

Sinsen is a Japanese-style tonkatsu shop in a side street at the southern end of Gwangalli Beach (Namcheon-dong-ro 108beon-gil 49, unit 106). Tenderloin, loin and the tenderloin-plus-fish set are 13,000 won; the cheese-filled cordon bleu is 16,000; the cold buckwheat noodle set, a summer favourite, is 13,500. Bottles of katsu sauce and salad dressing sit on each table, and you mix the sauce into sesame and mustard for dipping. We read 30 posts from 7 January to 2 October 2026; 24 describe an actual meal there. Eight are by people who say they have been coming for years.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Thirteen posts call the crust crisp and none disagree. Five mention thick cuts. Four found the meat juicy; one found the loin dry this time.
- Nine posts describe the room as clean, several crediting a remodel that brought wood furniture and soft lighting. Three note separate solo seats alongside tables. When the remodel happened is unclear: one writer says about three years ago, another says recently.
- One post says the cabbage salad can be refilled and the writer always asks once; the same post notes the sauces are on the table, so there is no need to flag down staff.
- Many posts say lunch gets busy, but none report actually waiting. One saw people queuing; two walked straight in at weekday lunch; three only say there may be a wait, one going at 11:00 opening to avoid it. Nobody recorded a wait time.

Parking
2 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

There appears to be no lot of its own. Two drivers parked in nearby paid or street spots. One says a single car can squeeze in out front but must move if enforcement comes. The 'no parking' lines in most posts are copied listing details and were not counted.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 24 posts read) |
|---|
One post places it on the ground floor of a shopping arcade, but no one says whether there is a step or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in; the parent with a toddler went without a stroller. Unknown, not absent.
The only toilet mention is a copied line in one post saying there is a unisex toilet inside; nobody wrote about using it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts split two to two on size: two found it roomy with well-spaced tables, two called it small.
- Many posts list the phone number 051-627-9191. One writer called ahead from the car and was told there are no reservations, but orders are taken until 8 p.m.
- Opening hours appear in 17 posts, all copied from listings; 15 agree on 11:00–21:00 with a 15:00–17:00 break and Sundays closed. One says it opens at 11:10, one says it closes at 22:00, one adds public holidays as closing days. Only one post, told by phone, gives an 8 p.m. last order.
- Prices hold steady across the 2026 posts. Two writers call them steep, two call them fair; both camps agree prices have risen, but nobody says from what or when. A meal runs 13,000–16,000 won before extras.
- Two posts (January and May 2026) say the little sesame mortar is gone and sesame now comes ready in a dish. A July post claims the mortar is still there, but it reads as generic copy and we set it aside.
- Many posts copy '547 m from Geumnyeonsan Station exit 5', but none describe actually arriving by subway or bus; the walking times given are copied figures.
- Our listing gives Gwanganhaebyeon-ro 141, but every post with an address gives Namcheon-dong-ro 108beon-gil 49, unit 106. None mention a move, and one says it has been in the same spot for 25 years. The 'since 2001' line is the shop's own claim, repeated by bloggers.
