Bakmanbae Arirang Bossam Gwangalli-jeom
박만배아리랑보쌈 광안리점 Bak Manbae is the name of the man posts credit with creating gabrisal (pork neck-loin cap) bossam; Arirang is the Korean folk song, and bossam is boiled pork eaten wrapped in cabbage and kimchi.

A gabrisal-pork bossam house on the second floor of the Woojin Building at the end of Gwangalli Beach, opposite Samik Beach. It is a branch of the Seoul chain Bakmanbae Arirang Bossam, and any bossam (small, medium or large) comes with a free pot of clam kalguksu or a plate of jaengban noodles. The half-and-half bossam nearly everyone ordered is 44,000 won small, 50,000 medium, 55,000 large. We read 30 posts dated 8 September to 7 October 2026; 29 describe a visit, and we set aside one that was really about a bakery. All of them come from the first month after opening.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Sixteen posts say the portions are big. One pair left food over from a half-and-half bossam; another says more than half the kimchi was left. Several were surprised the free kalguksu came as a full pot, not a small bowl. One post disagrees: a group of friends ordered a medium and found it barely a mouthful.
- Nine posts say the pork has no gamey smell and six say it is not greasy. One post describes the gabrisal as roughly half fat, half lean — rich rather than clean — and suggests it suits people who like fattier meat over lean bossam.
- Five posts call the bossam kimchi and dried-radish kimchi sweet — one found it sweeter than expected. Two say it is not spicy and two say it is not salty.
- Eighteen posts mention big windows looking onto the sea and Gwangan Bridge. One post tempers this: it is not a head-on bridge view, just a glimpse of sea between buildings.
4 more
- Five posts say it is an 8-10 minute walk from Geumnyeonsan Station; one adds that the Suyeong-gu Office bus stop is four minutes away.
- Family visits dominate: eleven posts, six of them with children (from a seven-month-old to a primary-school boy). Two posts saw high chairs for themselves. Three went with friends and two as a couple.
- Eight posts say you order from a tablet or kiosk at the table. Side dishes are refilled: one post found a dedicated kiosk button for more geotjeori and salad, one had the fish-cake side refilled, and one watched the next table get a second round before their pork arrived.
- Nine posts call it clean — partly because it is newly opened; one watched staff keep wiping down after the rush. Eight say the room is spacious, while one says it is not especially big.

Eighteen posts confirm from experience that the Shabu20 car park next door gives 90 minutes free; mention it when paying and they stamp your ticket. Opinions on its size split one to one — one found it roomy, another found it cramped with a queue and paid to park nearby. One post gives the free time as one hour.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 18 of 29 posts |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 2 (of 29 posts read) |
Eighteen posts note the restaurant is on the second floor, reached by two entrances — one by the car park, one at the back — that meet upstairs.
Nobody says whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in, or whether there is a lift. What posts do mention is stairs: one warns the car-park entrance has many steps and suggests the side entrance for older guests, another says the stairs are steep, a third took the other door because the open staircase felt scary. That is not evidence there is no lift — just that no one wrote about one.
The toilet is outside the dining room: two posts say you go out through the door to the shopping arcade. One post found it very clean but did not say where it was. Nobody mentions whether it is split by sex.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Of the 29 visit posts, four say they got a free meal voucher and two say they were sponsored. Many of the rest repeat the same lines — 'a K-food to show foreign tourists', 'good for family meals and group gatherings' — which reads like a supplied brief. Weigh the counts below with that in mind.
- Posts disagree on the cut: four say the slices were thick, two say thin.
- We know little about waiting. No post describes queuing. One family walked straight in around 5 p.m. on a weekend while diners kept arriving behind them; another notes a waiting area. Nobody reports how long the wait is at peak lunch or dinner.
- Two posts booked ahead and found the side dishes already laid out; one noticed reserved tables. Another says there is no booking button on Naver Place, so call to ask for a window seat. The number several posts give is 0507-1477-5358.
- Prices: by the posted menu, the half-and-half bossam is 44,000 won small, 50,000 medium, 55,000 large. Three posts from the same September give the small as 46,000, and we cannot tell which is right. One family of four paid 61,000 won for a large with four bowls of rice and a stew. No one calls it expensive; five posts say it is good value.
- Twenty-four posts list opening hours as 11:00-23:00 daily, but almost all copied that from the listing. Nobody mentions a break, last orders or closing days. The lunch set is served only until 3 p.m. on weekdays.
- We treat the house's own claims as quotations only: '38 years of tradition' (some posts say 35), 'one of Seoul's top three bossam houses', the YouTuber photo at the door, gabrisal being only 200 g per pig (some say 300 g), broth made fresh daily. None of these were counted. Since every post falls within the first month, we cannot yet say how anything has changed over time.
