Tonshou is a tonkatsu house at 13 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro 279beon-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan, at the Millak end of Gwangalli Beach. It serves smoked Berkshire K loin, premium loin, tenderloin and mixed cutlets; prices given are 15,000 won for tenderloin, 15,500 for the mixed plate, 18,000 for premium special loin and 21,000 for Berkshire K special loin. Eleven posts say a chilled corn soup arrives as soon as you sit down. We read 30 posts published between 26 September and 7 October 2026; 21 describe eating here (visits from March to late September 2026). Six were about neighbouring shops or another branch and were set aside; three only introduced the place or were too doubtful to count.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The queue dominates what people write. Eighteen of the 21 visit posts describe waiting. On-site registration is said to open at 10 a.m., though some found it open around 9:30, and several say only 60 parties are taken. People who joined the line between 9:10 and 9:45 report: number 13 seated at 11:48, number 17 at 12:10, number 37 around 1 p.m., number 48 called at 1:30. One arrived at 9:15 and sat down at 1:40. Through the CatchTable remote queue, which opens at 11 a.m., a number in the 70s ate around 2 p.m. and number 80 on a weekend around 4 p.m. A Tuesday-evening visit took about an hour in total; a weekday afternoon close to two.
  2. Being called does not mean being seated. Six posts describe a second wait on seats inside the shop; the times given are 10, 10–15, 15 and 20 minutes, and one post logs 7:07 (called) to 7:25 (seated).
  3. Seating is at the counter. Three posts say so, one writing that every seat is a bar seat; none mentions tables. Four say the kitchen is fully open so you can watch the frying. One post noted a high ceiling and a surprisingly large room, and one saw a baby chair.
  4. Several posts say the cutlet comes first, with rice and miso soup following. Three say rice, soup and cabbage are refilled, and mention large pieces of pork and tofu in the soup. Two say food came quickly—one explains that you choose your dish when you join the queue.

Where it is

Map showing where Tonsyou is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

2 posts say it is walkable from the station.

Getting inside

No post describes the floor or any stairs from experience; the '1st floor' in the address is copied text and we do not count it.

Nobody wrote about a step at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means we don't know, not that there is none. Note that three posts describe counter-only seating.

One post mentions using the restroom (pleasant, with mouthwash provided), but nobody says whether it is inside the shop or separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 23 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-052 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opinions split. Five posts are by people who came back. Two called it ordinary or 'just so-so', one said they would not return, and one called it a waste of money. Two found the fatty loin heavy by the end. Many judge the food against the hours spent queuing, so taste is hard to separate from the wait.
  • Six posts give opening hours: five say 11:00–22:00 (four with last order at 20:50), one says 11:00–21:30. All are copied info lines, and none mentions a closing day. Check the hours before going.
  • Each post gives only one or two prices. A March 2026 visit lists loin and prawn cutlet at 14,500 won and extra curry at 7,000; a September visit lists tenderloin 15,000, premium special loin 18,000 and Berkshire K special loin 21,000. A meal runs roughly 15,000–21,000 won, but because the dishes differ we cannot tell whether prices rose in between. One post felt it was cheap for the quality; another said the portion was about the same as any tonkatsu shop.
  • Two posts list the phone number 010-5835-7978 in their info lines, and one ordered a mixed-cutlet takeout by phone. 'Booking' here mostly means CatchTable's remote queue; two posts say there is also a separate reservation for the first seating at opening. One post says CatchTable takes parties of up to six.
  • Some posts were not counted. One is labelled as self-paid but takes its exterior photos from Naver Road View, pastes in a review-count widget, and describes a 'warm soup' where eleven other posts say it is cold, so we did not treat it as a visit. Two list-style roundups were also left out.
