TETRAPOD COFFEE
테트라포드커피 광안로스터리 Teteurapodeu Keopi Gwangan Roseuteori A tetrapod is the four-legged concrete block piled up as a breakwater; the cafe's windows look straight down onto a heap of them on the Millak shore, and its coasters and door handles are tetrapod-shaped too.

A roastery cafe on the second floor of the Harrington Tower retail wing, at the north end of Gwangalli Beach on the way to Millak waterfront park. You smell the beans at the counter, pick one, and it is brewed by hand. The current menu has the Gwangalli blend at 7,000 won, an Ethiopian single origin at 9,500 and a Colombian decaf at 8,500; lattes, ades and teas are mostly 7,500-8,000 won and cakes 9,000-11,000. Nearly every post mentions the floor-to-ceiling windows facing Gwangan Bridge and the pile of tetrapod breakwater blocks right below. Posts from early May 2026 describe an 8 am opening and sandwiches and lasagna on the menu; later posts show a 10 am weekday / 9 am weekend opening and no food. We read 26 posts dated 14 January 2025 to 6 October 2026: 4 turned out to be about breakwater tetrapods, not this cafe, 2 were multi-cafe lists, and 20 (May-October 2026) are first-hand visits.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Twelve posts describe the full-height glass or a window seat; one notes that most chairs face the windows. The catch is daytime sun: two visitors said the window seats got hot, while others said the air conditioning kept the room cool. Expect glare and warmth right at the glass in the afternoon.
- Eight posts call it quiet, often explaining that it sits a little away from the main beach strip and was not crowded even at peak times. One mentions an inner section suited to laptops or reading; another found a recommended book left on the tables.
- Nobody reports queuing; three posts say there was no wait, even on a weekend. The front window seats are another matter: one visitor could not get one because they were full, another got lucky when one freed up.
- Six posts say it is expensive (8,000-10,000 won a cup), usually adding that the view and the beans make up for it. There is a stamp card (six stamps for a free coffee) and one visitor used a 10% Naver coupon. An early-May post mentions 20% off everything from 8 to 10 am, but the cafe now opens at 10, so we do not know if that still exists.

- Five posts were family outings (with a mother and sister, with parents, with a baby). Others went as couples, with friends, as a group of coworkers, or alone.

Parking
8 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Eight posts say you can park in the building's own garage. The entrance is at the back, and several advise parking on level 2, which connects straight into the cafe. Buying a drink gets you validated parking, but the length differs: most say one hour free, one post says two hours. A 15,000-won minimum for that hour appears only in a copied info block.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 7 of 20 posts |
|---|---|
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 20 posts |
Seven posts note the cafe is upstairs on the second floor, and first-timers found the way in confusing: it is not at street level, and on foot you enter from the sides of the building rather than the front. One visitor followed an orange banner up.
No one mentioned steps, a lift, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means unknown, not absent. The only clue is that level 2 of the garage connects to the cafe by a short bridge.
No one said whether the toilet is inside the cafe; one post said men's and women's are separate.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 22 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- High chairs changed over time: an August post found none (and was told they had since been added); a September post found one. There seems to be one now.
- Nobody described getting here by subway or bus; posts only say it is on the walk from the beach toward Millak The Market and the waterfront park.
- Opening hours appear in eight visit posts, all copied into info boxes. The most common version: Mon 10:00-19:30, Tue-Thu 10:00-20:00, Fri 10:00-21:00, Sat 09:00-22:00, Sun 09:00-20:00. Some posts give a 20:00 close on Fridays or 22:00 on Sundays. Early-May 2026 posts had an 8 am opening. No post mentions a closing day.
- The menu and prices shifted in the first months. In early May 2026 the blend was 6,500 won and there were sandwiches (13,000-14,000 won), lasagna and soup; from July the blend is 7,000 won and food is gone. A May visitor said the owner was thinking of dropping the sandwiches, and another noted desserts were still rotating, so the cake line-up may differ when you go.
- The phone number 0507-1454-1003 appears in two posts' copied info boxes. No one said whether bookings are taken.
- Of the 20 visit posts, none disclosed sponsorship, three said they paid themselves, and the rest said nothing. A few read like filled-in templates or guidebook copy; from those we counted only lines describing what the writer actually experienced.
