Songhyeon Daege

송현대게 Daege means snow crab; the posts give no meaning for Songhyeon.

Compiled from 28 blog posts read in fullSources →

A snow-crab house in a lane just behind Millak Waterside Park in Suyeong-gu, Busan. You pick snow crab, king crab or lobster from the tank; while it steams, abalone porridge and a spread of small plates arrive (abalone, sea squirt, sea cucumber, cheese-baked scallop, fried shrimp, corn cheese), then the crab comes pre-cut, and the meal ends with crab ramyeon (5,000 won) and rice fried in the shell (3,000 won). Snow crab is sold by the kilo at market price: 85,000/95,000/110,000 won in October 2026, 80,000-110,000 won in May; the two-person set ran 129,000-150,000 won. Nearly every post is about the layout: three connected rooms, one of them a private room for a single party. We read 30 posts from 15 December 2025 to 6 October 2026; two were about other restaurants, leaving 28 visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Twenty-five posts mention a private room. The restaurant is three side-by-side units: a room for a single party, a middle room with screened tables (one post counts three tables), and the largest hall with the kitchen. One post says the private room seats up to eight but will be booked for as few as four; two say the annex has no staff on hand and no call bell, so guests take drinks from the fridge themselves.
  2. Thirteen posts note a hand-washing sink inside the dining rooms, so you need not leave the table to rinse crab off your hands. The toilets themselves are in the shared building, not the restaurant: two posts say so, one adding there was no hand soap and the other that the door has a code. No one says whether they are separate by gender.
  3. Six posts drove and parked; five of them say you pull up in front and the owner moves the car for you. One adds that parking is covered for one car per party. The many 'free mall and apartment parking' lines are copied info blocks and we did not count them.
  4. Six posts booked ahead, by phone (051-761-6161). One found the private room already reserved; another found the screened room full on an early weekday evening.

  1. Six posts say the crab is pulled from the tank and steamed when you order; one timed it at about 30 minutes, filled by the small plates. Three posts say the steaming and cutting happen outdoors, and one (December 2025) found the crab a little cool by the time it reached the table.
  2. On price, four posts call it good value and one gives price three stars out of five. Actual bills: 220,000 won for two crabs between two people (March 2026), and about 410,000 won for four adults with 3.5 kg of crab and drinks (October 2026). A May 2026 post says the owner steered them to the 90,000-won-per-kilo grade rather than the top one.
  3. Four posts went with children; one mentions a high chair, and one valued the private room because a crying baby would not bother other tables.
  4. Three posts came without a car: two by bus (the Millak Waterside Park stop is a minute's walk) and one on foot along the waterfront from Millak station.

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 2 (of 28 posts read)

No post says which floor the restaurant is on or mentions stairs; the '101' in the address is copied, not observed. That is not evidence of steps — simply that nobody wrote about it.

No post says whether there is a step at the door or describes entering with a wheelchair or stroller; the stroller mentions are search-keyword filler or hypothetical. We do not know.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • No post describes queueing; one only advises booking in crab season. That means nobody wrote about a wait, not that there is none.
  • Twenty-two posts give the hours as 11:00-24:00 daily with no closing day, but every one is a copied info block; none describes visiting at those hours. Nobody mentions a break time or last order.
  • Only two posts disclose sponsorship, yet more than ten repeat the same phrases about 'crab with a good yield, plus lobster, whale, bluefin and seasonal sashimi' and 'a room for just one party'. Many of these read like commissioned copy. Claims that the owner was a hotel Japanese chef, or that the crab is steamed in a cauldron, are the shop's own lines and we did not count them.
