Misaeng Seusi

미생스시 Misaeng (未生) is a baduk term for a group of stones not yet secured — loosely 'a life not yet complete'; seusi is sushi.

Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →

Misaeng Sushi is an evening sushi and aged-sashimi house on a side street in Millak-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan — two posts put it a seven-minute walk from Gwangalli Beach, one says ten. What people ordered most was the house assorted sashimi (₩45,000 for 1–2, ₩65,000 for 2–3), the mackerel bar sushi and the 12-piece daily sushi set. Monkfish liver on fried laver and cucumber with pollock roe arrive unasked, and every diner gets a free cup of spicy ramen at the end. Posts from around summer 2025 onward mention a private room with a door, and the four posts since December 2025 that give a closing day all say Monday. We read 30 posts dated 28 October 2024 to 29 August 2026; 25 of them record an actual visit. Two delivery posts, one multi-restaurant list and two promotional posts with no meal described were not counted.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The free starters are what people remember first. Of the 25 visits, 17 describe monkfish liver on crisp fried laver and cucumber with pollock roe arriving before anything was ordered, some with pickled shallots, ginger and celtuce. Most were delighted; one August 2026 post found the liver closer to tuna salad and a little disappointing. Ordered separately it cost ₩6,000 in October 2024 and ₩6,500 in August 2026.
  2. The private rooms date from summer 2025. A June 2025 post mentions a remodel and describes one room with a door and one without; four posts from December 2025 on also mention two rooms — five posts in all. Before that, an October 2024 post saw a space split into three areas, and a May 2025 post said the separated area was screened but not a closed room. Families with children and groups of friends used the rooms.
  3. No post reports waiting. Four say they walked straight in — around 6 p.m. on a rainy evening in August 2026, late on a Saturday in May 2025, at 7 p.m. on a Sunday in March 2025 — and one calls it a place where you can eat without queuing, unusual for Gwangalli. Two posts noticed a small bench outside for anyone waiting. Four posts booked ahead.
  4. Six posts say you order from a tablet or kiosk at the table; two of them add that there is no paper menu.
5 more
  1. Six posts describe it as quiet. Two credit the wide spacing between tables for keeping it calm; a December 2025 visitor noted the quiet room and a DAY6 medley on the speakers.
  2. Of the posts that say who they went with, nine went with friends, four with family, three with a partner and one alone — the solo diner, in August 2025, had the daily sushi set and two Okinawan draft beers.
  3. Three posts brought children, and three mention high chairs. One child had the miso soup refilled five times; another family brought baby food. Two posts ordered egg sushi for the kids.
  4. Three posts saw comedian Heo Kyung-hwan's autograph and photo inside.
  5. Four posts got free croquettes for leaving a Naver receipt review.

The most ordered dish is ankimo gimbugak (안키모 김부각) — 15 of 25 posts.

Parking

Posts saying you can park2 of 25 posts

There's no lot of its own; drivers use nearby paid parking. Four posts arrived by car, and two of them parked in a nearby paid lot, one noting that the first hour (₩3,000) was taken off the bill. Another said not to even think about parking, yet also mentioned an hour's support at the Millak lot next door. Several posts copied the parking support into an info box; we didn't count those.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 25 posts read)
Step-free access1 of 25 posts

Only one post describes the floor from experience — ground level. Every other mention of the ground floor is just the address.

Nobody says whether there's a step at the entrance — that means unknown, not step-free. One post got a stroller in; an October 2024 post says the group table near the door sits up a slight step; another says the green door slides open at the push of a button.

No one describes the restroom from experience. One post's 'separate men's and women's restrooms' was copied from a listing, so we didn't count it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • One post came by bus. Three give directions saying it's beside the terminus of the 62 and 108 buses, but no one says how far it is from a subway station.
  • Nine posts give opening hours of 5 p.m. to midnight. The closing day shifted: Sundays in October 2024, the first Saturday of the month in December 2024, alternate Sundays in January 2025, the first Tuesday in March 2025 — and Mondays in all four posts since December 2025. Most of these were copied from listings. No one gives a last-order time.
  • Prices have crept up. The mackerel bar sushi was ₩25,000 in three 2024 posts and ₩26,000 in March and December 2025; the 12-piece daily set went from ₩25,000 (to May 2025) to ₩26,000 (March and August 2026). One March 2026 post lists the assorted sashimi as 32 pieces for ₩48,000, and we can't tell how that maps to the earlier ₩45,000 and ₩65,000 sizes. Only one post totals a meal: three people paid ₩74,000 in December 2025.
  • Five posts give the phone number as 010-5259-3114; one (December 2025) gives 051-757-9952. One post booked through Naver.
  • Two posts brought their own whisky; one notes a ₩20,000 corkage fee, so it isn't free.
  • Five posts end with the same ten hashtags in the same order. Two of them (January and February 2025) describe no meal, only promotional lines about freshness and fair prices, so we left them out; the other three name dishes and prices and were counted. Only two posts say they paid their own way, none disclose sponsorship, and many mention free extras like grilled fish heads or ceviche. Three posts (October 2024, January 2025, March 2025) are by the same person, writing on a Daegu signage company's blogs.
