Kkongsi Mandu
꽁시만두 Mandu means dumplings; none of the posts explains the word Kkongsi.
Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →
Kkongsi Mandu is a small dumpling shop on the ground floor of the Harrington Tower Gwangan The Ocean building in Millak-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan, a short walk from Gwangalli Beach toward the Millak fish market. People come for xiaolongbao (6,000 won for four), fried dumplings (7,000 won) and shrimp shaomai (8,000 won for four), often with jjajangmyeon (7,000 won), Sichuan jjajang (8,000 won) or jjamppong (8,500 won). You order on a tablet at the table and fetch cutlery and water from a self-service bar. Two posts say it used to be Hong Kong Myeonga in Namcheon-dong and moved here under a new name. We read thirty posts dated 3 April 2025 to 4 October 2026: twenty-six describe eating there, three only introduce the place or ate takeaway elsewhere, and one is about another restaurant.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- This is a place people visit for the xiaolongbao. Seventeen posts mention how juicy the dumplings are, almost all about the xiaolongbao. Each table has a card explaining how to eat them, nick the skin, drink the broth, then add shredded ginger, and some posts say the owner explained it in person. Posts note the xiaolongbao cannot be taken away.
- Fifteen posts describe the fried dumplings as crisp; one says they are closer to deep-fried dumplings, another that each is hand-sized and filling. An April 2025 post says the shop sold out of them while it was ordering more to take away.
- Seating is limited. Fourteen posts call the room small or cramped and none calls it spacious. Of the posts that counted tables, six list three four-seat and two two-seat tables, two list three of each, and two say about five tables. One notes it looks wide from outside but is narrow inside; two say groups would struggle.
- Five posts ordered on a tablet or kiosk, and several say cutlery, water and plates come from a self-service bar. Three mention a one-dish-per-person rule. One post says dumplings took about ten minutes because they are made to order but it did not feel long; another says a big order meant a bit of a wait.
2 more
- Five posts call the Sichuan jjajang spicy; one found it only mildly hot and unconvincing for the name. One regular from the Hong Kong Myeonga days says it is now sweet, like tteokbokki sauce, and not the dish they remembered.
- Six posts say prices are easy on the wallet, one finds the dumplings a little pricey, and two do not decide. Three say dumplings alone are not a full meal and two found them filling, so most posts pair two or three dumpling plates with a noodle dish.

Parking

The building's own car park (levels 1–3) gives one free hour. Six posts parked there themselves. One says each extra 30 minutes costs 1,800 won, one that the car park fills up on holidays and during festivals, one that spaces are very tight, and one that they parked on level 2, crossed into the next block and took the lift down. Some say the free hour needs a spend of 10,000 won or more.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Lift to the floor | 1 of 25 posts |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 2 (of 25 posts read) |
The registered address puts the shop in a ground-floor unit. No post describes floors or stairs on the way in; one only mentions taking the lift down from the car park.
No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in. That means nobody wrote about it, not that access is impossible. One post found the seats a bit cramped.
Two posts say the toilet is outside the shop, in the building: one says to check the door code on the right side of the building, the other that it is outside but clean because the building is new. No one says whether it is separated by gender or accessible.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Two posts say this is Hong Kong Myeonga, formerly in Namcheon-dong, renamed and moved; one only says it seems to have moved. No post gives a date. Every post we read is about the current address.
- The fried dumplings changed price: five for 6,500 won in April–July 2025, five for 7,000 won in October 2025, six for 7,000 won from February 2026. Steamed, chive dumplings and Harbin beer also vary slightly between posts. Xiaolongbao at 6,000 won and shrimp shaomai at 8,000 won stayed the same throughout.
- Nineteen posts give opening hours, all copied from listings. Sixteen agree on 11:30–22:00 with a 15:00–17:00 break and last orders at 21:30; twelve say it closes on the first and third Sunday, two from summer 2025 say every other Sunday. The latest post (October 2026) alone lists Monday–Saturday until 23:00 and every Sunday closed, so we cannot yet tell whether hours changed. An August 2025 post says the shop was open for dinner only for a while during the heat, and they turned up at lunch to find it shut.
- Waiting is mixed. Two posts walked straight in (one on a weekday lunch), and two say there can be a queue at busy times or in the evening. One mentions a single waiting bench outside the door. No post records actually waiting a set number of minutes; two arrived at opening and were the first customers.
- Only one post discusses public transport: it calls the shop hard to reach by subway and says the 210 bus comes closest. A line giving nine minutes' walk from Gwangan Station exit 5 is copied from a listing. Most posts simply walked over from Gwangalli Beach.
- Eight posts list the phone number, 051-753-0611. Only one copied listing says dine-in reservations are not taken, and no post tried booking by phone. Several copied listings say dumplings can be taken away in orders of two portions or more; three posts say they did take some away.
- Four posts were not counted as visits: one about Dongbang Myeongju that only mentions this shop in passing, an auto-generated list and a list of names, and one that picked up food and ate it at their lodging. One post that repeats a 'drone-show local beer spot' heading looks like a promotional template, but it names what was eaten that day, so we counted it. No post discloses sponsorship; eight say they paid themselves.
