Kairu Ijakkaya
카이루 이자까야 An izakaya is a Japanese-style pub; the three syllables of Kairu also name the house's three set menus, the Ka, I and Ru sets.

An izakaya on the fifth floor of the Theme Tower, right in the middle of Gwangalli Beach. People come for window tables facing Gwangan Bridge, ordering per-table sets (Ka 58,000, I 78,000, Ru 100,000 won) or a half-flatfish, half-salmon sashimi plate at 35,000 won with soju or highballs. It opens at 5 pm and runs until 4 am, and several posts came specifically to watch the Saturday drone show from the windows. We read 30 posts from October 2024 to October 2026 and counted 13 as actual visits; eight template-written posts and the promotional or copied-listing posts were not counted as visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The window is the whole point. Six visit posts sat at the window. Two posts from an October 2026 drone-show night, arriving after 5 pm, got the last free window table; one September 2025 weekend drone-show visit found the window full and sat one row back.
- Window seats come with a time limit. Two posts mention three hours: one in December 2025 as a general rule, one in September 2025 as a Saturday rule for window tables. They differ on whether it applies only on Saturdays.
- Besides regular tables there is floor seating, noted by four visit posts. One adds there is also a separate room, shoes off, with a full view of the bridge.
- A free starter arrives once you order, noted by four visit posts: cabbage salad, or salad with puffed macaroni crackers or finger-shaped snacks.
2 more
- Five visit posts found it quiet despite the crowded beachfront below, crediting the height of the fifth floor.
- Opinions on the food split. Many posts liked the sashimi and grilled salmon, but two visits called it mediocre and remembered the view more than the food.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

The restaurant is on a single floor, the fifth; no post mentions basement or other-floor seating. Two visit posts took the elevator up.
We do not know about the entrance step or wheelchair and stroller access. Beyond the elevator, nobody wrote about it; the floor-seating area is shoes-off.
Only one visit post described the toilet: inside the restaurant but unisex, and she walked in on a man. The silence elsewhere means no one else wrote about it, not that it differs.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 16 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2025-08-08 | 2 posts in one day |

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Much of what is written about this place is manufactured. Eight posts, five of them from one parenting blog that only changed the companions, repeat a wrong building name, the same info block, the same section order and even the same typo. Three intro posts in July-August 2025 share an identical phone-and-hours footer. We did not count anything these posts said about waiting, toilets or seating.
- Opening hours: six visit posts agree on 5 pm to 4 am. The day off changed: September 2025 posts say open every day, while posts from December 2025 on say closed Tuesdays. Promotional posts from summer 2025 and some template posts give a 5 am (6 am Fri-Sat) close, and two posts warn weekday closing times can vary.
- Prices for the sets and sashimi held steady from August 2025 to October 2026. One visit gave a full bill: 75,000 won for two, the Ka set plus three bottles of soju and a cola. Three posts called it good value; no visit post called it expensive.
- Set contents are described differently over time. Three visits from August 2026 on list glutinous-rice sundae and vanilla ice cream; earlier mentions of seared tuna come mostly from template posts, so we cannot tell whether the set actually changed.
- We know little about getting there by subway or bus. The 755 m from Gwangan Station exit 3 is copied listing data; the only first-hand mention is one visitor catching a night bus afterwards.
- No visit post reports waiting in line. That means no one wrote about it, not that there is never a wait; the only recurring point is that window tables fill early on drone-show nights.
- The phone number, 0507-1322-4673, appears in one visit post and three promotional ones. Several posts advise booking a window table, but no visit post says it actually phoned ahead to reserve.
