Jinyanggol

진양골 Gol means a valley or village, so the name reads roughly as 'Jinyang valley'; none of the posts explain it.

Compiled from 10 blog posts read in fullSources →

A sea-eel restaurant on the fourth floor of the C-Plex building in Millak-dong, by Gwangalli beach, serving grilled eel and Yeosu-style eel soup. The usual order is the eel set: 21,000 won per person for grilled eel, eel soup and a dozen or so side dishes. We read 14 posts from February 2025 to August 2026; 10 describe actually eating there. Two were about other businesses in the same building, one was a delivery review and one only restated the listing, so we did not count them.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. There is no tableside grilling. Five posts said the eel arrives fully cooked from the kitchen on a hot iron or stone plate. One writer hosting business clients chose it because nobody had to tend a grill and conversation was easy.
  2. Six posts said the portions are large. A family of five ordered four eel sets plus one seaweed rice-cake soup, found the eel stacked three or four layers high and could not finish; another writer took leftover eel home in a bag. Five posts singled out the stir-fried or braised baby hairtail among the side dishes, and two said each diner got a slice of watermelon at the end.
  3. Accounts of the glaze differ: three posts describe a sweetish, teriyaki-like sauce, one found the seasoning mild, and another called it salt-grilled.
  4. No post mentions waiting. Two said the opposite: one called at noon on a summer holiday weekend and was told to just come, and a repeat visitor said the large hall is never crowded.

Posts saying you can park5 of 10 posts

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

Lift to the floor1 of 10 posts
Step at the entranceyes 0 · no 1 (of 10 posts read)
Step-free access1 of 10 posts

Only one post describes the entrance: it says the threshold is low and there is an elevator, good for wheelchairs and strollers. No other post confirms this.

We do not know whether the restroom is inside the restaurant or separated by gender. A copied listing says it is, but no visitor wrote about it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 12 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post describes getting there by subway or bus, which is not the same as saying it is hard. Three posts mention driving.
  • Five posts list opening hours as 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., mostly copied into an info line at the end. No one mentions closing days, a break or last order.
  • Only the 21,000-won eel set price comes from several visitors. The yakiba prices by size (60,000 to 80,000 won) and other dishes come from one menu list copied in April 2026. Two posts said it is generous for the price.
  • One post booked ahead and pre-ordered, and the food came quickly. The Naver Booking and CatchTable options and the phone number 0507-1474-7906 come from copied info lines.
  • A December 2025 post says fresh oyster bossam was newly added as a winter special, and an April 2026 menu list shows it at 50,000 won. No post ate it, and we do not know whether it is sold out of season.
