Horok Horok

호록호록 Horok-horok is a Korean onomatopoeia for slurping or sipping; a slogan quoted in one post calls it the place where a couple sit face to face and sip their youth.

A shellfish-grill and chojang house on the ground floor of the Ocean Terrace 3 arcade in Millak-dong, Busan, across from the Millak fishermen's market and facing Gwangan Bridge. Grilled scallops or mixed shellfish start at 45,000 won for a small; bring fish from the market and you pay a 6,000-won table fee per person. Drinks are self-serve from the fridges, and the doors are thrown open in good weather. We read 21 posts from 15 December 2025 to 30 September 2026; 18 describe an actual visit, and one post about a different restaurant was set aside.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. Most people treat it as a place to eat fish bought elsewhere. Eight posts brought sashimi from the market — three from Katsugyo, one each from Hamyang, Ultari and Sudeok-ho, and two unnamed. One writer says buying at the market is better value than the house's own sashimi. Two posts give an 8,000-won fee for grilling shellfish you bring.
  2. Expect a wait on weekend evenings. Three posts waited: about 30 minutes around 7pm on a Saturday, a short wait around 8:30pm on a Sunday, and a group of six after picking their fish. The 30-minute writer left a phone number and was called when a table opened, so there was no need to stand outside. A weekday visit at 5pm found only one or two other customers.
  3. Eight posts call the staff friendly and say why: lights dimmed, a birthday song and a free bottle of soju when a cake came out; a tip to hold off on the grill while eating raw fish so it would not cook; bangah leaves and sancho powder for the stew on request. Two posts say staff put the first scallops on the grill or cut the abalone for them.
  4. One writer phoned ahead, was told a dog is fine in a bag or carrier, and brought theirs to a window table.
2 more
  1. You can bring your own bottle, but not for free: one post that brought sake reports corkage of 10,000 won for wine and 15,000 for sake.
  2. Each table has a grill in the middle and you cook yourself; two posts say staff put the first scallops on or the owner cooked them with butter and cheese. One post notes most window-side tables have no burner and are kept for people bringing sashimi.

Parking

Posts saying you can park1 of 17 posts

Only one post describes parking: an hour is covered at the Millak fishermen's market tower car park, but not at the public lot next door. Other posts copy listing lines (first 60 minutes free, nearby paid parking, no free parking), which we did not count.

Getting inside

Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 17 posts read)
Separate restrooms1 of 17 posts

One post says it is on the ground floor of the arcade; no other post mentions floors or stairs.

We do not know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in — nobody wrote about it, which is not the same as there being a problem.

The toilets are not inside the restaurant: one post says you leave the shop for separate men's and women's toilets in the arcade building, and found them clean. That is the only post to mention them.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 19 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Portions split two to two: one post found the small scallop grill plenty for two and another found the stew very generous, while two found the small and medium mixed shellfish smaller than expected.
  • Two posts found it pricey, both putting it down to the bridge view and location; one found it reasonable when you only pay the 6,000-won table fee for fish you bring. One meal on record: a 50,000-won sashimi plate, three table fees, a small stew and roe rice.
  • Two posts call the room spacious; one found it smaller than expected with tables close together.
  • The hours appear to have changed: eight posts up to 7 August 2026 give 2pm-2am, three from 30 August give 2pm-1:30am. Ten posts agree it is closed on Tuesdays. Most of these are copied listing blocks rather than times the writers checked.
  • Six posts give the same phone number, 051-754-8999. Beyond copied 'reservations available' lines, only one post describes a table held for them through the fish stall they bought from.
  • Nobody described getting there by subway or bus; posts only mention walking along Gwangalli beach or taking a taxi.
  • The same string of search keywords recurs in seven posts, and two of them share a word-for-word info block. Only one of the seven says it was a sponsored visit; the rest say nothing or claim to have paid. We counted them as written.
