Jinyangho Hoetjip

진양호횟집 Jinyangho is the name of a lake (the reservoir at Jinju) and hoetjip means a raw-fish restaurant; the posts do not say why the house took the name.

Compiled from 16 blog posts read in fullSources →

A raw-fish restaurant on the fourth floor of a seafood-restaurant tower facing Millak Waterside Park in Suyeong-gu, Busan. You eat by the per-person set: of 17 visitors, 10 had the 50,000-won A set and 3 the 60,000-won Special. Sets from 50,000 won include one refill of sashimi, and side dishes are followed by fried shrimp, fish-roe rice and spicy fish stew. Window seats look out on Gwangan Bridge. We read 30 posts dated 26 March to 22 September 2026; 17 record an actual meal.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. People book ahead: six posts say they reserved. One arrived at dinnertime to find a line and was glad to have booked; another walked in without a reservation and was seated at once. One family arriving at 6:30 pm found the window seats nearly all taken.
  2. Five posts say the slices are cut thick. One warns the thickness may not suit everyone and notes the fish is aged rather than live-killed, so it tastes less 'fresh' in that sense. Another called the thickness just right; we did not count that one.
  3. Seven posts call it good value; two hedge, saying 50,000 won a head is by no means cheap but acceptable with the refill and the sea view. One receipt shows 100,000 won for two on the 50,000-won set.
  4. Family meals lead with six posts (a parent's birthday, a family meeting before a wedding); two brought children, one noting the five-year-old happily ate seaweed soup with rice. Two went with friends, one as a couple, one as a work dinner.

Posts saying you can park3 of 16 posts

Three posts describe parking: a small lot on the building's ground floor plus the public lot at the waterside park next door. One says the building holds only a few cars; another found it full and used a paid lot across the street. 'Free parking' lines copied from listings were not counted.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 5 (of 16 posts read)
Lift to the floor4 of 16 posts

Four posts say you take the lift to the fourth floor, where the entrance and a fish tank greet you. Five posts place it on the fourth floor, not a basement.

No one mentions a step at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; we only know there is a lift. That is an absence of reports, not a finding.

No one says whether the toilet is inside the restaurant. Two posts list separate men's and women's toilets, but only in copied listing blocks, so we did not count them.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 13 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-03-312 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Opinions on space split two to two: roomy with wide table spacing versus not large but packed with seats. One post found the hall noisy on a weekend evening; one mentions separate rooms without windows.
  • Three posts found the staff friendly; one disagreed, saying they were so busy that the rice and tempura came 20-30 minutes late and service felt curt. Another notes things sometimes get forgotten when it is busy.
  • Eight posts from 26 March to 2 April 2026 repeat the same stock phrases in the same order (a 25-year owner, cooking as if for family, a 100-seat hall, a fireworks viewing spot) and close with an identical address-hours-phone line. We treated them as reworded copies of the restaurant's own blurb, not as visits. Claims such as a YouTuber's visit or premium direct-from-port fish are the house's own words and were not used.
  • No visitor came by subway or bus. One family walked from Gwangalli Beach, which took 20 minutes in 37-degree heat; the taxi back took about five.
  • On waiting, one post saw a line and one was seated straight away; nobody recorded how many minutes.
  • Seven visit posts give opening hours, all copied from listings and not in agreement: 11:00-23:00 (three), 11:00-22:30 (two), 11:00-23:30 and 11:30-23:00 (one each). None gives a closing day. Check before going.
  • Most posts give the phone number 0507-1305-8436; one lists 051-757-8436 for reservations. Two visitors booked through Naver.
  • Prices are per person, so the bill multiplies by party size. One post notes plain rice must be asked for separately; the only drink price recorded is 5,000 won for a beer. Nobody ordered the lobster, snow-crab, rock-bream or lunch sets, so we know only their menu prices.
