Gaetbeorui Jogae Gwangalli-jeom

갯벌의조개 광안리점 Gaetbeol-ui jogae means 'clams of the tidal flat'.

Compiled from 29 blog posts read in fullSources →

A clam hot-pot place on the second floor of the Terrastar Ocean building, right on Gwangalli Beach. Nearly everything revolves around one dish, the 'king clam jeongol': a huge steamer of pen shell, scallops, mussels and a whole squid, with steamed egg and cheese inside. Small (2) is 54,000 won, medium (3) 74,000, large (4) 94,000, special 114,000. You order on a tablet, the pot cooks lidded for 10 to 15 minutes, and staff come to open it. Most posts follow the same order: free young-radish barley rice from the self-serve bar while you wait, then a 3,000-won portion of noodles in the leftover broth. We read 30 posts from November 2025 to October 2026, 29 of them actual visits. Three disclosed sponsorship and one said only part of the bill was their own.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. The whole front is glass, and window tables face the Gwangan Bridge head-on. Ten posts ate at the window with that view. Posts count the window tables as about three or four, and three posts found them all taken. One got a window seat by arriving at 5 pm, another by booking ahead.
  2. Sixteen posts call the room large with generous spacing between tables, the most repeated remark about the place, often because the pot nearly fills the table. Several mention a full room, but nobody called it cramped.
  3. Fifteen posts ordered on the tablet or kiosk at the table. Two note that you can choose the broth's heat and whether to add chili right there. One post found the drinking snacks (the three-item platter, cockle salad, squid) missing from the kiosk and had to ask staff.
  4. Six posts noticed many foreign diners. One guessed the room was 90 percent foreigners, another that every table but theirs was, and a third walked in on a Japanese fan meeting.

  1. Five posts saw high chairs and two brought children. One ordered the mild broth without chili for the kids; another said their son loved the clam-shaped plates.

Posts saying you can park3 of 29 posts

Three posts actually parked: two at Bada parking behind the building, one in the building garage. One of them skipped the building garage because it's a mechanical lot. The free-parking allowances (90 minutes at Terrastar Ocean and Bada, 60 at Hyeongje) appear word for word in almost every post and are copied.

The restaurant is upstairs: fourteen posts describe going up to the second floor. Five mention a building elevator, one placing it right by the Terrastar Ocean tower-parking entrance. Several others walked up the stairs or the emergency stairwell.

Nobody describes entering with a wheelchair or stroller, and no one mentions a step at the door. One post's info block says wheelchair accessible, but that was copied from the listing. It's on the second floor, reached by elevator (five posts) or stairs.

Only one post describes the restroom, and it's outside the restaurant. The 'separate men's and women's restrooms' line in other posts is copied from the listing.

No one mentioned: Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post reports actually queuing. One mentions a CatchTable waitlist kiosk at the door and a sign warning that you may not be seated right away even if tables look empty. Five posts had booked ahead. Nobody gives a wait time, so we don't know, which is not the same as there being no wait.
  • No post says how they got there by subway or bus. Directions like '1.1 km from Gwangan Station exit 3', '15 minutes on foot' and the bus numbers are copied; one post recommends exit 1 instead, so even the exit varies.
  • Opening hours changed. Through the 2 July 2026 post, all five posts listed weekdays 4 pm to midnight and weekends 11:30 am to midnight. From 28 July, eleven posts give 1 am closing, with last orders at 11 pm throughout; two later posts still copied midnight. All of these are copied from the listing, so check before going. No post mentions a regular closing day.
  • Prices held steady from November 2025 to October 2026. The small pot is 54,000 won, and several posts put a meal for two with noodles and a drink or two in the 60,000s. One post gave the noodles as 2,000 won against 3,000 everywhere else. One post called it on the pricey side.
  • The phone number 0507-1308-9753 appears in more than fifteen posts, always copied. People booked through CatchTable or Naver, and a November 2025 post said fireworks-night tables were taken through an open chat room.
  • Three posts disclosed sponsorship and one said it paid only part of the bill. One post still had a writer's-template placeholder in it ('fill in after checking parking'), and two ended with the same seven hashtags in the same order. Claims that the seafood arrives fresh every morning or that celebrities vouch for it are the restaurant's own copy, and we didn't rely on them.
