DOUGH GARAGE

도우개러지 광안점 Dougaereoji Gwangan-jeom Dough Garage is an English name — a 'garage' for pizza dough; this is the Gwangalli branch of a pizzeria that began in Jeonpo-dong.

Compiled from 26 blog posts read in fullSources →

A thin-crust pizzeria on the 5th floor of the Olive Young building right on Gwangalli Beach (235 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro), the Gwangan branch of Jeonpo's Dough Garage; one post says it opened in February 2024. People order half-and-half pizzas (1,000 won extra), baked spaghetti (11,000 won), wings or Bang Bang shrimp and draft beer, paying up front on a table tablet or kiosk. One family of six paid 116,000 won (about 19,300 won each) for four pizzas, two spaghettis and four drinks. A wall of windows faces Gwangan Bridge, and it is known as a place to watch the Saturday drone show. We read 30 posts from 31 October 2024 to 7 October 2026; 26 describe an actual visit (one post about another shop was removed, three listicles were not counted).

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. Thirteen posts describe the floor-to-ceiling windows on the sea side. A local resident noted glass right into the corners; two posts put the window seats at five two-person tables (one counted them, one looked it up). One diner seated further back still had a clear view of the bridge.
  2. Eighteen posts call the room spacious — one says it takes the whole floor, another contrasts it with the 6–8-table Jeonpo branch. Posts list window pairs, bar seats, four-tops, sofas and six-tops; one family of six sat together at a single six-seat table.
  3. Thirteen posts ordered and paid on a table tablet or kiosk. Water, pickles, hot sauce, parmesan and cutlery come from a self-service bar — one party of six needed a couple of trips. Four posts note you cannot change tables once you have ordered.
  4. Sixteen posts mention the self-packing station for leftovers, with large pizza boxes and small cartons and no packing charge. A November 2024 post had staff pack it instead; the self-packing station appears in later posts.

  1. Waits depend on the day: two posts waited, three walked straight in. A family arriving around 6 pm on Saturday 26 September 2026 (a drone-show night) sat at once, but the line behind grew and they felt pressed to leave by about 7:10. Another waited briefly at 8 pm in November 2024 when the sea-facing row was full. Those who walked in came on weekday evenings or a rainy day. Eight posts mention waiting chairs and a CatchTable kiosk at the entrance.
  2. Company: family in six posts (including a 16-month-old and a three-generation party of six with two kids), a partner or spouse in four, friends in two, and one solo diner. Eight posts mention high chairs.

Posts saying you can park1 of 26 posts

Nearly every post repeats the one-hour validation at the Wellstower (Lotte) car park behind the building, but only one shows actually using it (a check-in there). One family, unaware, paid 9,000 won for three hours at a private lot near Gwangan Station.

It is on the 5th floor, not a basement: eight posts took the lift in the Olive Young building; a listicle notes the stairs on the right lead to other shops.

Only one post covers step-free access: it says the ground-floor entrance is sloped with no step, so strollers and wheelchairs can get in. Nobody else mentions it.

Two posts say the toilets are inside the restaurant (down a corridor right of the counter) and two say they are separate for men and women. Other mentions copy the listing and were not counted. Nobody mentions an accessible toilet.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No one described actually arriving by subway or bus; the '738 m from Gwangan Station exit 3' and '4 minutes from the Gwangalli Beach bus stop' lines are copied from map listings.
  • The terrace is disputed: a November 2024 post mentions outdoor terrace seating, while a September 2026 post says it has no seats and is just for stepping out to look. With one post each way, we cannot say whether you can sit out there now.
  • Seasoning is divided: three posts found it salty, one said not at all. One found the food too rich, three said it was not. One family also found the room too loud to talk easily with older relatives.
  • The restaurant has not moved; what changed is hours and prices. Three November 2024 posts list 11:00–24:00 daily (last order 23:00); posts from October 2025 on list 11:00–23:00 (last order 22:00). One October 2026 promotional post still says midnight, which we treat as stale. All hours are copied from the listing; no post mentions a closing day.
  • Prices have gone up: Red Horse draft was 5,000 won through October 2025 and 6,000 won in September–October 2026; Bang Bang shrimp went from 7,000 to 8,000 won. Even within 2026, wings appear at 7,000 (one post) and 8,000 won (two), Cajun fries at 7,000 and 8,500 won. Size labels (S/R/L) vary between posts, so we can only say a half-and-half pizza ran 27,500–30,500 won. The free review item also changed from truffle fries to Cajun fries.
  • Phone and booking: 0507-1444-2362 appears identically in every copied info block. Several posts say weekday bookings go through Naver (up to five people), groups of six or more should phone, and weekends use CatchTable remote queueing; one says drone-show weekends take no reservations. No one reports actually calling.
  • Promotion cluster: nine posts went up on 1 October 2026 alone, and several others share the same sequence and phrasing (remote queueing, weekday Naver bookings, free Cajun fries for a receipt review, self-packing, Saturday drone show). Only four disclose sponsorship. We counted what these posts report seeing, but not the house's own slogans such as 'best drone-show spot'.
