Basement is a cocktail bar one floor underground in the Daejin mansion block, in the bar alley behind Gwangalli beach in Millak-dong, Busan. The draw is signature cocktails built on Korean traditional spirits (Chusarang, Huhoemaksim, Music Mixed Alcohol). On the March 2026 menu a cocktail runs 12,000–17,000 won and small plates such as brown-cheese melon or open sandwiches 12,000–13,000 won. It is dim, with bar seats, sofas and tables, and most writers came for a second round after dinner. What sets it apart
- A mini yakgwa (honey cookie) is set at every seat — ten posts mention it, one naming the supermarket Samlip brand. Water comes first as well.
- You can order drinks without food; two posts say so outright, and many writers arrived full from dinner and only drank.
- Noise splits opinion: five posts call it quiet, two found the music loud enough to drown out conversation, and one said it was loud but not headache-loud.

You go down a flight of stairs to get in. Twelve of the 26 visit posts mention heading underground, and several say the stairway and the full-length mirror by the door double as a photo spot.
No one wrote about steps at the door, wheelchairs or strollers. Writers mention taking the stairs down, and none mentions a lift — which means nobody said, not that there is none.
The toilet is outside the bar. Three posts mention it and all three put it outside — through the door and a metal gate to the right (January 2025), back up to ground level and outdoors (March 2026). A September 2025 writer was told it would soon be renovated, but the March 2026 post still describes it outdoors.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Cocktail prices have moved. July 2025 posts list 10seonbi and Basement at 13,000 won, September posts at 14,000. An October 2025 post says every signature was 17,000 won; by the March 2026 menu they ranged 14,000–17,000 (Huhoemaksim down from 17,000 to 16,000). Check the menu for current prices.
- Only one post describes walking in from the subway: about 15 minutes from Gwangan Station exit 3. The 'exit 3' and 'one minute from the beach' lines elsewhere are copied listings.
- Only one post mentions a wait: after they sat down, people kept coming until a queue formed. Others say it filled up near 10 pm or is packed around the Saturday drone show, but nobody recorded how long a wait runs.
- Seventeen posts give the same hours, daily 6 pm to 2 am, all copied from listings. Days off are irregular and announced on Instagram (@basementbusan); no post gives a last-order time.
- Many posts list the same phone number, 0507-1325-5054. Reservations, group bookings and pets appear only in copied listings; no writer says they booked ahead.
