Noodle house
Asakuma
아사쿠마 Kuma is Japanese for bear; one post says the owner built the name from the meaning of his own given name, Ung (bear).

Asakuma is a noodle shop in Millak-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan, near Gwangalli Beach and the Millac the Market complex. On 17 September 2026 the tempura-rice shop Yoikuma, in the same spot, reopened under the new name with a new menu. It now makes the noodles after you order and serves them in broth or dressed in oil. Shrimp and chashu noodle soups are 14,000 won, anchovy-oil noodles and clam noodle soup 13,000 won, the layered dumpling side 8,000 won and egg fried rice 5,000 won. Six posts say you get free rice at the end to finish the broth with. We read 13 posts dated 20 September to 7 October 2026. Twelve record an actual meal; the thirteenth is a scraped list of ten restaurants in Suyeong-gu. One of the twelve was a tempura meal at Yoikuma on 24 August, before the change, so we left its menu, prices and hours out of the current picture.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Seating is at a counter. Five posts describe bar-style seats, one calling it a semicircular counter and another saying every seat is at the bar. A sixth says only that there is a counter area, so it is unclear whether any tables exist. No post mentions a table where a group could sit facing each other.
- Noodles are made after you order. Six posts say so, and six posts note that the kitchen is open, so you can watch the noodles being extruded and boiled from your seat. Two posts say the food is slow to arrive because of this, one putting it at about 10 to 15 minutes.
- You order by scanning the QR code at your seat with your phone, as seven posts describe. Several mention pepper, kelp vinegar and pickled radish set out in front of each seat.
- Three posts mention a promotion: leave a review and get a free 250 ml glass of weizen. One of them left a review mid-meal and got a second glass. Four posts say they drank draught beer.

Parking

There is no shop car park. Three posts say so directly. The four posts that came by car used nearby public or paid lots, one noting a two-minute walk from the Millak car park. Rates such as 1,500 won per 30 minutes are copied from the shop's listing.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
We don't know which floor it is on. The address says first floor, but no visitor mentions it.
No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in. That doesn't mean access is a problem, only that nobody wrote about it. Two posts say outright that children are not admitted, and others copy a notice that guests aged eight and over are allowed.
We don't know whether the toilet is inside the shop. Two posts list separate men's and women's toilets, but both copied that from the shop's listing.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 13 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post describes actually standing in a queue. Two say lunchtime gets busy, but one went at about 3 p.m. and the other walked straight in before noon on a rainy Sunday during the Chuseok holiday. One post joined the remote waitlist on the CatchTable app and went in when a KakaoTalk alert arrived. One post shows a photo of waiting chairs.
- Directions by bus come only from the shop's listing. Two posts copied a note saying it is close to the terminus of buses 41, 83 and 83-1 (Millak-dong depot), and one mentions a bus stop nearby. Nobody says they arrived by bus.
- Ten posts give the same opening hours, 10:00 to 17:00. Nine of them give last orders at 16:00 and seven say it is closed on Wednesdays. Most of this is copied from the shop's listing, though, and one post says both 'daily' and 'closed Wednesdays'. There is no evening service.
- Every post was written within three weeks of the reopening. Several share the same title pattern, the same info block and the same order of dishes, yet none discloses sponsorship; two say they paid their own way. No post calls it expensive, and one says it is good value. Six posts give the same phone number (0507-1315-5497), and several say the shop uses CatchTable's remote waitlist rather than bookings.
