Anchor

앵커 Aenkeo Anchor is simply the English word for a ship's anchor; one visitor saw a line inside reading 'drop the anchor of your heart here'.

Compiled from 10 blog posts read in fullSources →

Anchor is an LP bar on the fourth floor of the Venezia Building, across from Millak Waterside Park in Busan. You eat steak, pasta or a cheese plate with drinks while records and CDs play and Gwangan Bridge fills the big windows. Only one post gave prices: in July 2026 the Anchor steak was 50,000 won and the shrimp-anchovy oil pasta 20,000 won. Six posts all gave the hours as 18:00-02:00, closed Sundays, and seven listed the phone number 0507-1445-5456. We read 12 posts from April to September 2026. Two were real-estate reports on Uijeongbu that showed up only because they used the phrase 'anchor tenant', so we set them aside. The other 10 (April to August 2026) all describe actually eating here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. They take requests. Five posts said a song they asked for got played. One mentioned a notepad on every table for writing requests, one asked for Madonna, another for Queen, and one was moved when the owner dug out a first pressing of the record they requested.
  2. Gwangan Bridge sits right in front of the windows. Six posts described window seats or the bridge through the full-height glass, and two said no buildings block the view. One post, though, counted only two four-person tables by the window, with the rest of the seating at a long communal table for around ten, and suggested booking. Three posts said they booked ahead.
  3. Four of the five posts that ordered the steak mentioned the juices. The sides vary a little from post to post, but grilled asparagus, mushrooms, peppers, shrimp or scallop and wholegrain mustard keep coming up.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 10 posts read)
Lift to the floor1 of 10 posts

The bar is on the fourth floor. One post went in at the ground-floor entrance, took the lift to the fourth floor and found the door straight to the right. No other post mentioned the lift.

We don't know about steps at the entrance or wheelchair and stroller access. That doesn't mean there's a problem, only that nobody wrote about it.

We don't know where the toilets are. One post's info box lists separate men's and women's toilets, but it was copied from a listing, so we don't count it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Only one post covered public transport, saying the subway is a bit of a walk and the buses from the Millak side are easier.
  • No post mentioned a wait. Two said they booked and walked straight in. We don't know what happens if you turn up without a booking.
  • Three posts said who they came with, and all three were couples: a boyfriend, a husband, a wife. Nobody wrote about coming with friends or a group, though two posts mention the long communal table.
  • Prices are thin. Only one post (July 2026) gave menu prices, and another said two people spent about 50,000 won. No post gave drink prices.
  • Four posts from 10 July to 10 August 2026 end with the same five hashtags in the same order, and another post from that July says it got a free voucher. The four don't mention sponsorship but may belong to the same campaign. We still counted them, since each one records what was eaten.
