Seoul Hoetjip

서울횟집 Hoetjip means a raw-fish (hoe) restaurant, so the name reads 'Seoul Fish House' — one diner found it funny that a Busan fish house is named after Seoul.

Compiled from 12 blog posts read in fullSources →

A sashimi house on the street near Exit 5 of Jung-dong Station and the E-mart in Haeundae, Busan. It opens in the afternoon; people come for dinner and order the assorted sashimi (40,000 won for two) or the A set of sashimi, seafood, tempura and spicy stew (from 80,000 won for two), with side dishes such as bean-sprout soup, corn cheese and grilled fish laid out first. We read 13 posts from March to October 2026; 12 describe a visit, and one was set aside because it was really about another restaurant.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Value comes up again and again. Six posts said it was good for the money, pointing to 40,000 won for a two-person sashimi plate, 100,000 for the three-person A set and 120,000 for four (about 30,000 a head). One post was mixed: three stars for value, and it found the 8,000 won stand-alone stew a bit pricey.
  2. There are private rooms besides the main hall. Five posts mention them and two actually sat in one; one counted about two rooms with two tables each. Others noted group seating as well.
  3. Five posts said the portions were big, mostly about the sashimi plate itself; one said the side dishes crowded a two-person table. One post was more measured: the plate wasn't large, but the amount was fine.
  4. Expect a wait at dinner. One post waited 30-40 minutes at the after-work rush and another saw a line outside. Others found it quiet around 8 p.m. on a weekday, walked in late as a second stop, or got a table right at opening. Remote queuing appears only in copied listing info.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 12 posts read)

We don't know whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. One post says it is at street level, but nobody describes the entrance.

We don't know if the restroom is inside the restaurant. One post's info block just says 'in the building'; no one describes using it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Two posts describe walking from Exit 5 of Jung-dong Station; one put it at three minutes.
  • One post came with a child and found kids' bowls, spoons and forks, plus a little something for the child at checkout. A high chair appears only in another post's info block.
  • Company varies: four posts came with family, two with friends, two as a couple (one with family and partner together).
  • Seven posts give the same hours — 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., closed Mondays — and three add a 10 p.m. last order. All of it is copied listing info, so check before you go.
  • Prices come from posts dated June to October 2026; the full menu was copied by just one post (July 2026). The menu lists a 25,000 won surcharge to swap anago into a set, but the two posts that swapped didn't mention paying it, so we can't tell. Two people having sashimi and stew came to roughly 50,000 won.
  • Two posts list the same phone number, 0507-1329-9979. Nobody said whether phone reservations are taken.
