Haeundae Giwajip Daegutang
해운대기와집대구탕 Giwajip means a house with a traditional clay-tile roof — the restaurant began in an old tile-roofed hanok, and the new building keeps a tiled roof over its entrance; daegutang is cod soup.

A single-dish restaurant serving cod soup on the second and third floors of a new building at the foot of Dalmaji-gil, near Mipo in Haeundae. A bowl is 16,000 won with rice, and it opens at 8 a.m., so many posts describe coming for breakfast or a hangover meal. It used to be an old tile-roofed hanok on Dalmaji-gil; seven posts say it has moved to this building. We read 15 posts from October 1 to October 28, 2026; nine describe an actual visit, and the other six are Haeundae restaurant listicles.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Parking comes up as a non-issue. Six posts say they parked there, and four of them describe attendants at the entrance taking the car for valet parking. One post adds that the attendant saw their baby and arranged a comfortable table.
- Six posts say the portion is large — one felt there were nearly four pieces of cod, another wasn't hungry from an 8 a.m. bowl until 3 p.m. One post notes her mother's bowl was mostly bone while hers was nearly all meat, so the amount of fish can vary by bowl.
- Food comes quickly: four posts say it arrived soon after ordering. Three describe ordering and paying up front at a kiosk or at the table.
- Five posts mention seeing a wall full of celebrity autographs, and one notes framed photos of the old hanok. Three say the broth had no fishy smell.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 6 of 9 posts |
|---|---|
| Lift to the floor | 6 of 9 posts |
| Step-free access | 1 of 9 posts |
The ground floor is a waiting area and you eat on the second or third floor. Six posts describe going up, and six mention an elevator. One post says you go straight up to the second floor if there is no wait, and the third floor opens only when the second is full. Another was sent to the second floor and then redirected to the third, wishing they had been told at the ground floor. One family with a baby found it roomy enough for a stroller.
Several posts say the dining rooms are on the second and third floors with an elevator, but nobody mentions whether there is a step at the entrance.
One post moved around easily with a stroller; nobody describes entering in a wheelchair. Wheelchair access appears only in copied listing data, which we don't count.
Nobody describes where the restroom is or what it's like; separate men's and women's restrooms appear only in one post's copied listing data.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 15 posts we gathered, 6 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Waits are mixed: one post says there usually is a queue but tables turn over fast, while two walked straight in on a holiday and on a weekend morning. Three mention a waiting area on the ground floor, one describes registering at a kiosk there, and one saw the crowd build from around 9 a.m.
- Every post gives 16,000 won. Two call it expensive, and two say it has gone up but felt worth it given the portion. Nobody says what it used to cost. A meal is just the one bowl, so 16,000 won per person.
- No post says when the move happened. All the posts we read are about the current building, so nothing from the old place is mixed in. Several say the old-house atmosphere is gone but the new space is roomier and more comfortable.
- No post describes arriving by subway or bus. The walk from Jung-dong Station exit 7 is copied listing text; one post says it's walkable from LCT and nearby hotels, and two describe driving.
- Three posts went with family (two with children) and one went alone. Nobody writes about going with friends or a partner — that's an absence of reports, not evidence either way.
- Seven visit posts give the same hours — 8:00 a.m. to 8:40 p.m., last order 8:10 p.m. — all in copied info blocks at the top. No visit post mentions a break time or closing day.
- Five posts list the same phone number, 051-731-5020. Nobody says whether reservations are taken.
- We didn't count the six listicles; three of them follow an identical template of summary table, menu-hours-parking blocks, route table and checklist.
