SHABUAEJAK

샤브애작 광안리점 Syabeuaejak Gwangalli-jeom Shabu stands for shabu-shabu, the hot-pot the house is built around; no post explains the 'aejak' part of the name.

Compiled from 27 blog posts read in fullSources →

A shabu-shabu buffet on the second floor of Hotel Central Bay, right across from Gwangalli Beach. You choose a broth at the table — most posts went half plain, half spicy — and help yourself to thin-sliced beef brisket and chuck, vegetables, sushi, hot dishes, gelato and milk shaved ice. Prices are 24,900 won for weekday lunch (80 minutes), 28,900 won for weekday dinner and 30,900 won on weekends and holidays (both 100 minutes); soju is 1,000 won a bottle and draught beer is self-serve and unlimited. A rotisserie station that serves meat at set times was being called new in September 2026. We read 30 posts from June 2025 to October 2026; 28 are about this restaurant and 27 describe a visit. 26 of those 27 went up between 19 September and 6 October 2026 and list the same perks in much the same order.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The seaward wall is glass, so window tables look onto Gwangan Bridge; 24 posts mention the sea view, and several who booked were given window seats. One post differs, saying the building's structure breaks up the view near the door and it is better further in.
  2. Weekdays meant no wait; weekends and holidays get busy. One post walked straight in at weekday lunch, another expected no queue on a Monday evening. On the Chuseok holiday one couple arrived at 5 pm, right after the break, found it already full, and saw a queue on the way out; another says CatchTable is a must on weekends. Five posts booked ahead and four mention waiting chairs at the entrance.
  3. You order on a tablet at the table — headcount and broth — and staff bring the pot; seven posts describe this.

Parking

15 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park15 of 27 posts

The hotel's own underground car park is not covered. All 15 posts that discuss parking say to use the nearby One, Angel, Beach Bikini or Gwangan Tower lots and get a stamp for 90 free minutes. Beyond that you pay: one diner stayed nearly two hours and paid 2,000 won extra; another found Angel lot pricey at 3,000 won per 30 minutes and a bit of a walk in the rain.

Getting inside

Second floor24 of 27 posts
Lift to the floor11 of 27 posts
Toilet inside2 of 27 posts
Separate restrooms2 of 27 posts

You walk through the hotel lobby and take the lift to the second floor: 24 posts say it is upstairs and 11 mention taking the elevator, usually the one on the right past the lobby. One writer walked straight back out, thinking the hotel front desk meant they had the wrong door.

The restaurant is on the second floor, not below ground; the only basement any post mentions is the hotel car park, which is not covered for parking.

We don't know whether there is a step at the door or whether wheelchairs and strollers get in easily. Eleven posts mention the lift, but none mention steps or wheelchairs — that means nobody wrote about it, not that there is a problem.

Two posts say the restrooms are inside the restaurant at the far end, separate for men and women; three mention high chairs.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post describes arriving by subway or bus; the '623 m / 8–10 minutes from Geumnyeonsan Station exit 1' lines are copied from listing blocks.
  • Nearly every post gives 11:00–21:30 with a 15:00–17:00 break on weekdays and none on weekends, mostly copied from the listing. One gives opening as 11:30, and one Chuseok-holiday visitor ran into a break; another warns holiday hours may differ.
  • The price board lists 80 minutes for weekday lunch and 100 minutes otherwise. No post says the limit was enforced, and one Monday-dinner diner says they ate for two hours.
  • Prices match across posts, but one post says draught beer comes only with the weekend and weekday-dinner rates; the others make no such distinction.
  • Eight posts give the phone number as 0507-1345-7747 and one as 051-711-7747. Posts mention booking through Naver and CatchTable.
  • Of the 27 visit posts, two disclose sponsorship, three got free meal vouchers, four say they paid, and 18 say nothing. The free all-day luggage storage and the 2,000-won Daiso gift card for receipt reviews are mostly copied from the shop's posters, so we did not count them; three posts say they saw the luggage service themselves.
  • The rotisserie is called new in September 2026 posts, yet an August visit already mentions rotisserie chicken, so we can't date its arrival. One repeat visitor noted a beef and bean-sprout bibimbap that used to be on the buffet was gone.
