Cafe

RicoRica

리코리카 Rikorika Rico and rica are the Spanish words for rich or delicious; one post looked the name up and found exactly that.

Compiled from 24 blog posts read in fullSources →

A large café filling the second floor above an arcade at 183 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro, directly across from Gwangalli Beach, where people come to drink coffee and eat cake facing Gwangan Bridge. The foam-topped iced americano (caffè freddo) is 6,500 won, a latte 7,000, a slice of cake 8,900, and a fruit crumble with ice cream 8,500 — two drinks and a dessert run a little over 20,000 won. We read 30 posts from April 4 to October 6, 2026, and counted the 24 that describe an actual visit; one post about a different café was discarded and five that only list the name in a roundup or diary were not counted. We saw no relocation, price change or menu change in that window.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. Of 24 visit posts, 20 wrote about the floor-to-ceiling windows on the sea side. From April through October writers note the folding doors are pushed fully open in good weather. Several said the seats right at the glass get hot by day and they moved inward; one July writer disagreed and found it fine. Two posts mention borrowing a blanket at night by leaving an ID card.
  2. No one reported waiting for a seat; seven posts say they sat straight away — weekday lunch, 11 a.m. on a Friday with three tables occupied, right after opening, a weekday evening. It does fill: Saturday lunch was nearly full, Friday around 1:30 got busy, and a weekend visit found the room packed. The real competition is for the front window row, which people shuffle toward when it frees up.
  3. Three posts say orders came quickly — one within the three minutes spent looking at the cakes, another despite a full room. None said it was slow.
  4. Three posts found it pricey for what you get, blaming the view; one said the 6,500-won americano was worth it.
2 more
  1. Two visitors found outlets — at the round central seats and by the pillars. A roundup post we didn't count said there were none and the Wi-Fi was slow. Nobody reported outlets at the window seats.
  2. Noise depends on timing: two posts from a weekday lunch and a Friday morning found it calm; one called it noisy and crowded.

Getting inside

Second floor15 of 24 posts

Fifteen posts say the café is upstairs on the second floor, with an orange-lit arcade on the ground floor; one notes the entrance is up from the side of the building.

No one mentioned a basement, a third floor or a rooftop; everyone sat on the second floor. That means nobody wrote about one, not that none exists.

No one mentioned a step at the entrance, an elevator, or arriving by wheelchair or stroller. One writer mentions walking up stairs; whether there is another way up, we don't know.

Two posts praised how clean the toilets were and one their air-conditioning, but nobody said whether they are inside the café or in the building corridor. The separate men's/women's toilets appear only in copied info blocks.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Many posts repeat that it's a walk from Geumnyeonsan Station exit 1, mostly as copied directions; one couple actually took the subway from there after their visit. No one wrote about coming by bus.
  • Every post agrees it opens at 9:00. For closing, seven posts say midnight Sunday to Thursday and 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday; two say only Saturday runs to 2 a.m.; six list midnight every day. Check before planning a late Friday. 'Open every day' appears only in copied or hearsay form.
  • Prices diverge only on the plain americano: two menu copies show 6,000 won, while one writer paid 6,500 won for a hot one. The foam-topped freddo is 6,500 won everywhere.
  • The phone number 0507-1485-7974 is consistent across more than ten posts, all copied from info blocks. Nobody tried booking a regular table. Several saw or heard that reserved seats for the November fireworks festival are booked through an open KakaoTalk chat; that is the shop's own notice, so we didn't count it.
  • Two posts share an identical string of 20 hashtags, but their orders and visit times differ, so we counted both as visits. One October 3 post says the café is run by an acquaintance of the writer's wife. Separately, two other posts copied info blocks with wrong addresses (Gwanganhaebyeon-ro 237, and a Seojeon-ro address in Busanjin-gu).
