Cafe
Padodang
파도당 Pado means 'wave' in Korean and -dang is a common ending for shop names; the cafe carries the wave theme into a blue rippled floor and sand-and-shell desserts.

A bakery cafe on the second floor of G-Well Estate, 165 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro, right on Gwangalli Beach in Busan. It is the second Padodang, after the one at Palais de Seeds in Haeundae, and opened around 20 August 2026 (a post from 22 August called it 'day two'). People come to sit at the floor-to-ceiling windows facing the beach and Gwangan Bridge; the floor is painted in blue ripples and desserts like the Pado pie and sand bottle cake are styled as beaches with shells. All three posts that copied the menu put an americano at 6,000 won; the 'Pado' signature drinks run 7,500-9,000 won. We read 30 posts dated 1 May to 5 October 2026: 4 were about the Haeundae branch and set aside, 1 only listed the name, and 25 (20 August to 5 October) describe a visit to this Gwangalli branch.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- The window is the reason to come: thirteen posts wrote about the glass frontage or window seats. Those seats are contested - one post said people sprint for them the moment one frees up, another found them nearly all taken on a weekend evening. When the windows are opened it gets windy; one visitor had napkins blowing away and moved further back. Most posts say Gwangan Bridge is dead ahead, but one said it is not quite head-on.
- Eighteen posts called it roomy. The '130 pyeong' on the entrance banner is the shop's own claim (one post said 100), so we lean instead on what people saw: lots of two- and four-person tables. One post noted the ordering counter and bread display area is tighter, so you bump into people there.
- Five posts commented on sweetness. The blue on the Pado pie is chocolate - one post found it thicker and sweeter than expected, another simply crisp and pleasantly sweet. The Oreo sand bottle cake was a bit rich for one visitor and not too sweet for another. Drinks drew lines like 'so-so' and 'unremarkable'; most posts wrote more about how things looked than how they tasted.
- A self-serve corner has an oven for warming bread, chargers, water and cutlery. Three posts mentioned chargers or sockets; one said there are plenty of sockets at the seats and many people were working on laptops.
1 more
- Despite being a cafe it sells Busan craft beer - three posts mentioned it, and one saw a can-and-nachos set for 11,000 won.

Parking

You can use the building's underground car park. Four posts actually parked or collected a validation ticket (one parked on B3), and you have to ask at the counter for it. The threshold was written differently over time: five posts from 22 August to 21 September say one free hour with a 20,000-won spend, four from 22 September to 5 October say 10,000 won, and one from 26 September repeated 20,000 won as hearsay.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

The cafe is upstairs: six posts describe going up to the building's second floor. One took the stairs; another said stairs or lift both work, but you must use the lift for the retail floors, which opens right by the entrance.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair, and only one post mentioned the lift. That means unrecorded, not absent.
There is no toilet inside the cafe: five posts say you leave and turn right to the building's shared restroom. Three of them warn there is no toilet paper, so take napkins from the cafe. Nobody mentioned whether it is split by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 25 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post describes queueing. Three describe competing for window seats instead (a weekend evening, and visits on 24 and 30 September, the latter on Chuseok). Weekday mornings and lunchtimes were described as quiet.
- Eighteen posts gave opening hours, all copied from notices. Most say Mon-Thu 09:00-23:00 (last order 22:20) and Fri-Sun 09:00-24:00 (last order 23:20). Two (31 Aug, 4 Sept) put the Mon-Thu opening at 10:00, and three gave only 09:00-23:00 without days. No post mentioned a closing day.
- Prices come from posts that copied the menu. The Pado pie was 6,800 won in one and 8,000 won in another. Three posts said it is on the expensive side (shaved ice, drinks at 6,000-9,000 won); one called it reasonable. A 6,000-won morning 'happy meal' and a 30% bakery discount after 9 p.m. each appear in only one post.
- The phone number 0507-1382-6026 is copied in many posts. No one mentioned booking a table; one post had heard that the Chuseok cookies and pound cakes could be pre-ordered.
- Few posts say who they came with: four with friends, one with family. Two drove there.
- The Padodang at Palais de Seeds in Haeundae is a separate branch; its four posts were set aside and not counted. Two posts say the two interiors are nearly identical.
- Of the 25 visit posts, eight say they paid their own way and seventeen say nothing; none disclose sponsorship. One blogger wrote twice, on 4 and 21 September.
