Mongnal
목날 Mongnal reads as a clipped mogyoil-nal, 'Thursday' — two posts noticed signs around the room reading 목요일날에 ('on Thursday').

Mongnal is a bar on the third floor of a building facing Gwangalli Beach in Busan (191 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro). You drink soju, draught beer or sake over skewers, stews and stir-fries, looking at Gwangan Bridge through floor-to-ceiling windows. Most posts describe it as a second stop after dinner elsewhere. The mixed skewer platter is 30,000 won (25,000 for a half), stews and stir-fries run 24,000–31,000 won, and soju is 5,000. We read 30 posts dated February 2025 to October 2026; 26 of them describe an actual visit. We set aside three that were really about other places. Most of the posts fall between late August and early October 2026.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The window tables go first. Twelve posts describe the view of Gwangan Bridge through the big windows. Four arrived to find every window table taken; one counted four window tables at 8 p.m. on a Wednesday, with only one free. Three said the bridge was still easy to see from the inner tables, while one found the inside photos disappointing and vowed to get a window seat next time.
- Edamame arrives before you order much. Thirteen posts mention something brought free: twelve describe the standing snack of edamame and puffed or macaroni crackers. Three were given cherry tomatoes on the house near the end, and two got a sweet on the way out.
- The owner comes up a lot. Eight posts call the owner friendly or attentive. One noticed the glasses were matched to the soju brand ordered; two noted the skewers come off the sticks onto one plate so you can eat with chopsticks.
- Seven posts found the portions large — one said the okonomiyaki was enormous for a dish in the 20,000-won range, another was startled by the size of the whelk-salad bowl.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

It is a walk up to the third floor. Seven posts describe climbing up, and three of them say plainly that there is no lift — stairs only. Signs on the way up advertise the bridge view and a TV appearance. One post said fourth floor; the address and every other post say third.
No post mentions a wheelchair, a stroller or an entrance step. Three say the only way up is stairs, which suggests wheels would struggle, but nobody wrote from that experience.
Nobody says whether the toilet is inside the bar or out in the building. One post noted separate men's and women's toilets; the same phrase elsewhere is copied from a map listing.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 25 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions on price split. Four posts found the food on the pricey side — one said they would not pay that again for what they got — while two thought it fair or good value. One noted drink prices are about the same as other bars. Two August 2026 posts disagree by 1,000 won on the kimchi-pork noodles and the chicken feet (25,000 vs 26,000). The whelk salad went from 25,900 won in a February 2025 post to 28,000 in August 2026.
- All opening hours in the posts are copied from listings. Nine say 5 p.m. on weekdays and 4 p.m. on weekends, until 5 a.m.; two say 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily. A February 2025 post gave 5 p.m.–4 a.m. and an 11 August 2026 post gave 4:30 p.m.–4 a.m. on weekdays, so closing appears to have moved from 4 to 5 a.m. One post says Sundays open at 2 p.m. No post mentions a closing day.
- Fourteen posts give the same phone number, 051-757-6521. The only word on reservations is a door notice and hearsay that fireworks-festival seats in November are booked in advance; nobody says whether you can reserve on an ordinary night.
- No one describes arriving by subway or bus; the '678 m from Geumnyeonsan Station exit 1' line is copied from a map. Many simply walked in off the beach.
- No recent visit mentions a wait; one post only recalls being turned away by a queue about three years earlier. That is an absence of reports, not proof there is never a line — and the window tables do fill early (see above).
- Of those who said who they came with, four were couples, three groups of friends and two with family (a mother, a younger sibling). Nobody wrote about going alone.
- The TV-show appearance is repeated from signage and hearsay, so we did not count it. Many posts from late August to early October 2026 carry the same keyword strings in their titles and tags, which looks like a single promotion; only one discloses sponsorship. One post still contained a line referring to 'the visit details you provided', so we did not count it as a visit.
