Grill houseKorean

Haean Sutbul Galbi

해안숯불갈비 Haean means seashore (海岸); the posts say the house also reads it as 解顔, a face that has let go of its worries and smiles. Sutbul galbi is ribs grilled over charcoal.

Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →

A charcoal pork-rib house on the ground floor at 35 Namcheonbada-ro, just behind Gwangalli Beach. The core is plain pork rib (150 g) and marinated rib (200 g); posts from August 2026 on give 14,900 won a portion, up from 13,900 won before. You grill it yourself over hardwood charcoal, with a long spread of side dishes. Glass noodles, scallion salad, spicy mustard-leaf pickle and dried-shrimp salt come up again and again, and many diners finish with crab soybean stew or kimchi stew at 7,000 won. We read 30 posts from 28 August 2025 to 20 October 2026, 27 of them actual meals. The rib-and-rib set menus first appeared in autumn 2025.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Expect a queue in the evening; six posts describe one. One arrived at opening on a weekday and saw a line by the time they left after 7 pm. Another booked for 6:30 and was told the wait from 7 is about an hour. One found a few groups waiting before 10 pm on a Sunday, and another had two parties ahead. Seven posts booked ahead through Naver or Catchtable. One mentions seats for waiting outside.
  2. Ordering is on a tablet at each table (eleven posts), which also handles extra side dishes, grill-plate swaps and calling staff; eight posts got refills, though one found the glass noodles marked sold out. You cook the meat yourself; one post says plainly that staff do not grill for you, another that they step in now and then.
  3. A Naver review earns a free taster plate of boned pork tail. Seventeen posts mention it and nine actually got one. One found it sold out late on a Sunday night; another missed it on two visits, once at 6 pm.
  4. Seven posts mention a separate room at the back: one calls it a room for six or more, one was shown in when the hall was full, and one notes the glass door makes it only half private. Thirteen posts call the place spacious, with mostly four- and six-seat tables.
2 more
  1. Posts keep mentioning spoons and chopsticks served standing in hot water, and fifteen call the place clean. Several note the downdraft extraction at the grill instead of overhead hoods, so there is little smoke and nothing blocks the view across the table.
  2. No post found it expensive; seven called it fair or cheap for the quality. One concrete bill: two people had three portions of marinated rib at 14,900 won each, plus a 7,000-won kimchi stew with noodles.

Parking

6 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot6 of 25 posts

There is no parking of its own; six posts say in their own words that they had to use paid lots nearby. Copied listings name the Samik Beach B arcade lot, 8 minutes' walk at 2,000 won an hour, and the lot next door at 4,000 won an hour.

Where it is

Map showing where Haean Sutbul Galbi is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

5 posts say it is walkable from the station.

Getting inside

No post describes which floor it is on or whether there are steps at the door. The address says ground floor, and a post about another restaurant upstairs calls it the second floor of this building. That is all we have.

No post mentions a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. Two posts came with children but say nothing about a stroller. We don't know.

No post describes the toilets firsthand. 'Separate men's and women's toilets' appears only in info blocks copied into five posts, which we don't count. We don't know.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Prices have moved. Plain and marinated rib were 13,900 won in posts from December 2025 to July 2026 and 14,900 won from August 2026. The two-to-three-person set went from 55,000 won (December 2025) to 59,000 won (September–October 2026). One November 2025 post alone gave 15,000 won for 160 g. The 2 mm marinated pork neck (12,900 won) shows up until April 2026 and is missing from later menu lists; we could not confirm it was dropped.
  • Five posts put it about five minutes' walk from Geumnyeonsan Station on Line 2. They split between exit 1 and exit 3; one says both lead down toward the beach. No post came by bus.
  • Four posts went with family (two of them with children), two with larger groups, one as a couple and one with a friend; the rest only say two or three people. Nobody went alone, and one post says the first order must be at least three portions.
  • All 25 posts that give hours agree: 5 pm to 1 am, last order at midnight, though mostly copied from listings. Three say it is open every day, and one warns holidays may differ. Bookings and group enquiries go to 0507-1367-8004, or through Naver Booking and Catchtable.
  • Ten posts from 4–20 October 2026 share a title template, hashtags and the house's own talking points (Yeonggwang shrimp salt, Yeosu mustard greens, 72-hour marinade, downdraft hoods) in the same order, and only one discloses sponsorship. We counted their meals, but that batch likely leans positive. Claims like 'Grade 1 domestic pork' and '72-hour aging' are the restaurant's own and we don't rely on them.
