Gwangalli Jinmi Hoetjip
광안리 진미횟집 Jinmi is the Korean word for a fine, rare flavour (a delicacy), hoetjip means a raw-fish restaurant, and Gwangalli is the beach it faces.
Compiled from 22 blog posts read in fullSources →
A raw-fish restaurant on the ground floor of the W Hotel building at 207 Gwanganhaebyeon-ro, directly facing Gwangalli Beach. The menu centres on bone-in sekkoshi (30,000 won per person) and flatfish or rockfish (60,000 won for two, 65,000 won half-and-half); from 11:00 to 16:00 there is a lunch set of soybean-powder raw-fish bowl (18,000 won) or cold raw-fish soup (20,000 won) with stew and rice. You order on a tablet at the table, and sashimi orders get a self-serve bar of greens and seaweed. We read 30 posts dated 19 February to 30 September 2026: 3 were about the hotel and the café upstairs and were set aside, 5 were lists or introductions we did not count, and 22 describe an actual meal.

Rows without a count: 11 of 13 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Ten posts topped up seaweed and lettuce from the self-serve bar, naming sea string, sea mustard, kelp, napa cabbage and perilla leaves; one says the owner refilled their seaweed unasked. Three posts note the bar is only for sashimi orders, and lunch-set diners describe a fixed four side dishes instead.
- Eight posts say they could see Gwangan Bridge and the sea from their table, two of them mentioning floor-to-ceiling glass. Many add that it would be a good spot for the fireworks or drone shows, but none actually ate there on a show night.
- Fifteen posts call it clean, pointing to spotless cups and condiments on the table, lidded containers at the self-serve bar and a clean toilet. One says the room was renovated, but no one says when.
- Five posts mention a room or partitioned area at the back; one describes it instead as 'not a room, but a quiet corner'. The main hall is mostly wooden four-person tables, and one post notes all seating is at chairs, none on the floor.
2 more
- Five posts ordered on a tablet at the table; one adds that you pay on the way out.
- Of the posts that say who they came with, five were with family (two with children), five with a partner or spouse, three with friends, and one with a school reunion group.

Parking
2 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Two posts describe parking from experience: one received an hour's validation at the KNC lot, the other found the nearby paid KNC lot convenient. Elsewhere, '1 hour free with a meal, 90 minutes with sashimi at the Deungdae lot' is copied information. Several posts agree there is no dedicated lot; you use the car parks behind the building.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 2 of 22 posts |
|---|---|
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 22 posts |
No post describes which floor the restaurant is on from experience; '1st floor' appears only in the copied address.
We do not know whether the entrance has a step or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in; even the two posts with small children say nothing about it. That means no one wrote about it, not that there is no barrier.
Two posts say the toilet is inside at the back, and one says from experience that it is separated by gender; other mentions of gendered toilets are copied from the listing. No one mentions an accessible toilet.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions on price are split: five posts say it is fair, two say it is expensive (one family of four adults and a toddler paid close to 200,000 won), and two do not conclude. Menu prices were the same in every post from February to September 2026.
- Six posts found the portions generous and two did not: a repeat visitor felt the fish had shrunk since last time, and another said the amount of fish itself was not large.
- Seven posts found the staff friendly; one disagreed, saying drinks orders were missed and service was lacking, and also found the kelp too salty and would not return.
- Three of the 22 visit posts disclose sponsorship. Ten share the same stock phrases and hashtags ('second generation, 30 years of know-how', 'best seat for the fireworks', 'good for solo diners'), five of them published on 27-28 September 2026. The '30 years' and 'radiation-safe zone' claims are the restaurant's own wording, which we did not count (one post says 20 years).
- No post describes arriving by subway or bus; the '827 m from Geumnyeonsan Station exit 1' and bus-stop details are copied from map listings. Some diners simply walked over from the beach.
- Only one post, from May 2026, describes waiting: they joined the queue on a Tablering device at the door and waited in the café next door, without saying for how long. Another post only warns of possible weekend peak waits, and one says the room fills up by 6 pm even on weekdays.
- Thirteen posts give opening hours, all copied from the listing: ten agree on 11:00-22:00 Sunday to Thursday and 11:00-23:00 Friday and Saturday, one gives only 'daily 11:00-22:00', and one gives an 11:30 opening on Fridays and Saturdays. No post mentions a closing day. The only first-hand time is a diner who arrived at 10:55 and was let in before the 11:00 opening.
- Over ten posts give the phone number 0507-1402-8700; two list 051-758-8700 for reservations. Bookings appear only in copied amenity lists; no post says they booked ahead.
- One May 2026 post brought dogs in carriers and says the staff were not pleased, adding that pets may no longer be allowed. This is unconfirmed; ask before bringing a dog.
