Compiled from 21 blog posts read in fullSources →

A branch of the Yangsando eel-rice chain in Yeonhwa-ri, a seaside village in Gijang, Busan (45-10 Yeonhwa-gil). It serves Nagoya-style hitsumabushi on individual trays. Posts from August to October 2026 put the regular bowl (one eel) at 27,000 won and the large one (one and a half eels) at 37,000 won, with salad, buckwheat soba, steamed egg and miso soup alongside. Several posts describe a printed guide: eat it plain, then with scallion, laver and wasabi, then with dashi-tea broth. Five posts ordered from a tablet or kiosk. We read 30 posts dated 11 September 2025 to 28 October 2026; 21 of them record an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Seating is divided into room-like booths: 17 posts describe partitioned or numbered rooms assigned by party size. Two posts note the rooms have no closing door, and a third says they are not fully separate. Eight posts sat by windows looking onto the garden and pond, and one advises booking ahead for a window seat. Coat hangers in each room come up repeatedly.
  2. Eight posts mention high chairs; one says checking the option when booking had it set up on arrival, and two say staff brought a separate cup for the baby.
  3. Four posts say the soba and steamed egg that come with the bowl can be refilled.

Getting inside

Toilet inside1 of 21 posts
Separate restrooms1 of 21 posts

No one says what floor the dining room is on or whether there are stairs. That means we don't know, not that there are none.

No one describes a step, ramp, or entering with a wheelchair or stroller. One post's checklist says only 'entrance slope: no', which could mean no ramp or a flat entrance, so we did not count it.

Only one post describes the toilets: indoors, separate for men and women, clean. Two others mention a toothbrush kit there but not where it is.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 9 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-242 posts in one day
2026-10-152 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Prices have gone up. In September 2025 the large bowl was 34,000 won and butadong 16,000; in January 2026 the regular bowl was 25,000 and the roe version 31,000. Posts from August 2026 on list 27,000, 37,000, 34,000 and 17,000. The rise happened sometime between January and August 2026. Two posts called it good value; none called it expensive.
  • Waits vary. Two posts waited: one says weekends always had a queue (they once took food to go), another waited even with a Naver booking at about 2 p.m. in January 2026. One post walked straight in. Two posts mention waiting chairs at the entrance, one adding they were cramped so people waited outside or in their cars. Ten posts had booked ahead.
  • Three posts found the eel thick, but one January 2026 post found it thin and charred on both sides. Three posts noticed no off-flavour; one detected a faint earthy smell.
  • Sixteen posts give opening hours, and 15 agree: 11:30 to 20:30, weekday break 15:00 to 16:30, last order 19:40, closed Mondays (Tuesday instead when Monday is a holiday). Most copied this from the listing. One post gives a 16:40 end to the break; another lists 11:30 to 21:00 with a wrong address, so we set it aside. Nine posts give the phone number 0507-1400-0592, two give 051-711-0592. Many booked through Naver.
  • Only one post explains public transport: bus 181 to Sinam, transfer, get off at Yeonhwa-ri, and it is a short walk. The rest drove or did not say.
  • Some posts appear to be commissioned copy. Five end with the identical five hashtags, none gives a price, and one describes floor seating and lettuce wraps that no other post mentions. We excluded those five, three similar posts that name no dish or seat, and one golf-course guide that only lists the restaurant.
