Joyful Food Plaza
조이풀 푸드플라자 Joipul Pudeupeullaja The Korean name is the English words 'Joyful Food Plaza' written in Korean letters; it is the food court inside Lotte World Adventure Busan, opposite the carousel in the Joyful Meadows zone, and the park's own English guide calls it that.
Data as of · Published ·
Joyful Food Plaza is the food court inside Lotte World Adventure Busan, in the Joyful Meadow zone opposite the carousel entrance. It has a building to itself and four counters inside: Hoho Katsu (cutlets, udon, omurice), Sodam Bansang (Korean set meals, rice bowls, ox-bone soup), Asian Cook (jjajangmyeon, sweet-and-sour pork, pho, naengmyeon) and Han Spoon (noodles, tteokbokki, kimbap, fried rice). You order from all four at one kiosk and collect your own tray when your number comes up on the board. A meal generally runs ₩10,000 to ₩16,000, and there is ice cream, soft drinks and — rare inside this park — draft beer. On Naver maps it is listed under a different name. The posts we read run from October 2024 to September 2026.

What sets it apart
- At mealtimes you queue for a table, not for food. Several writers describe waiting by the door until a member of staff waves them to a free table, and only then ordering at the kiosk. The clock is quite sharp: one ate at eleven and had the room to herself, with the rush starting at half past; one advises getting in before noon; two queued around six in the evening; one says grab a table before six and you will eat straight away. Those who waited put it at ten to fifteen minutes. The food, by contrast, comes fast — one writer's arrived in under five minutes, and another warns that if you dawdle when your number comes up it will have gone cold.
- Meal vouchers and your receipt change the bill here. Three writers note that the meal coupons bundled with ticket packages and group bookings are good at this counter; one ate on a ₩12,000 voucher. Coupons, cash and group orders go to the front counter, not the kiosk, say two of them. And from an April 2026 post: keep your receipt — the paper one — and the park's snack kiosks knock ₩1,000 off any purchase over ₩10,000. The same writer notes that gift certificates, the local Busan card and barcode payments are not accepted, and that no loyalty points accrue.
- This is where families sit down halfway through the day. Nearly every writer who ate here came with children, and four mention high chairs. That is also why they chose it: the line that recurs is that the child wants a cutlet or something from the snack counter while the adults want Korean food or noodles, and everyone can have theirs at one table. Being indoors, it doubles as somewhere to get out of the heat or the rain — one writer was simply glad of the cool — and one notes the lavatories at the far end. Every park review says you need to build rests into the day; this building is where that rest happens.

Getting there

Getting inside

No writer says what floor this is on, and none mentions stairs or a lift. All the posts establish is that it has the building to itself and you walk in from the park path — "it takes up the whole building, so it is easy to find," "the place is big enough that you cannot miss it." Two writers mention a large model giraffe inside, which will tell you that you are in the right room.
Nobody writes about getting in here with a wheelchair or a pram. Not one of these posts uses the words wheelchair, ramp, threshold or step about this building. That is not a no — it is that we do not know. About the park itself they do say something: there is a pram and wheelchair hire point just inside the main gate, with prams at ₩4,000, according to two writers. Whether you can take one of those into this room, nobody records.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 27 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- You need a ticket to the funfair to eat here. This food court sits inside Lotte World Adventure Busan; it is not somewhere you can drop into for lunch. All twenty-three accounts we read are from people who were at the park anyway. The directions in these posts get you to the park, not to this door — four writers describe the footbridge from Osiria station on the Donghae line, five to ten minutes on foot, but from there you still pass the main gate and walk on into the park. On where it stands inside, the posts agree: the large building opposite the carousel entrance, on the left as you come to Little Farm Land.
- The park's closing time is not this shop's closing time. The "opening hours 10:00-21:00" line at the head of most of these posts is the whole funfair's schedule, and it reads as though it were the food court's. Only one writer gives this shop's own hours — ten to nine, no closing day, in December 2025. But two others say something more useful: that it may shut an hour before the park does, depending on the day, with last orders sixty minutes before that (August 2026); and that on one October evening orders stopped at seven (October 2025). If you are counting on dinner here late on a long park day, it may already be closed.
- Not one post declares a sponsorship. Four say outright that they paid. Two are worth naming: one writer was here on duty, escorting ten children, and ate on a company voucher — and left the harshest account we have of the place, complaining about the service and about rice that arrived burnt. Since the shop did not stand her the meal, we did not count it as sponsored. And one post carrying an affiliate disclosure is out of the count — it opens by declaring commission on sales, describes the four counters in the park's own words, and never names a dish or a price.
- Who comes here leans hard one way. Of the twenty-three first-hand posts, thirteen are families with children, and not one is written by someone eating alone, on a date, or out with friends. What this place is like for adults on their own we do not know — not that they would be out of place, only that nobody wrote it down. One writer did come by himself, escorting ten children for work, and his is the harshest account of the food court we read.
