Daege Manchan
대게만찬 Daege is snow crab and manchan means a feast — a snow-crab feast.
Compiled from 20 blog posts read in fullSources →
A snow-crab restaurant on the third floor of The East in Busan, opposite Ananti in Gijang's Osiria area. The usual way is to pick crab or king crab at the in-house counter (Gijang Olbareun Daege), pay the market price by weight, then pay a 7,000-won-per-person table charge inside and have it steamed; weekday, weekend and full crab courses are the alternative. The most common price in the posts is 90,000 won per kg (six posts). Most finish with crab-roe rice (4,000 won) or crab ramyeon. We read 30 posts from July 2025 to October 2026; 20 are first-hand visits. Five were about other businesses in the building or nearby and were dropped; five were listing-based write-ups or multi-restaurant roundups and were not counted.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect a wait at weekends and holidays, not on weekdays or off-peak. Four posts waited: number 49 with an estimated hour at 1 pm on Christmas 2025, number 24 the same day in another post, 20 minutes on a sale-period weekend in July 2026, and a long line at the 11 am opening on a September weekend. Six walked straight in (a Sunday at 3 pm, 'three minutes' on a weekend, weekday evenings). Fourteen posts say you can book; one notes you order your crab when you take a number, so the steaming overlaps the wait.
- Nine posts mention private rooms; two say they take bookings of seven or more. One family booked a room expecting a sea view and got a fully enclosed room with none, and would book the main hall next time. One post found rooms fully booked on a July 2026 weekend and says room bookings run 1 hour 50 minutes.
- Twelve posts mention sea views from the window seats. One couldn't get one at a Monday lunch in June 2026 because they were all booked; several advise asking for a sea-view table when you book.
- Nine posts went with children and four mention high chairs. Several also mention a nursing room and strollers lent for use inside (one notes a microwave in the nursing room). One family ordered the children's fried-shrimp cutlet.
2 more
- Three posts say you can see through glass into the area where crabs are steamed and cut, staff in gloves and caps.
- Three posts mention a self-serve drinks spot in the lobby on the way out, such as lemon and peach tea.

Parking
12 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Twelve posts say you can park, nine that the car park is big ('plenty of room even at the weekend'). Some describe parking on floors 1–2 of the building, others an underground level. Up to four hours free with a meal appears in many posts but is mostly copied from the listing; one post states it from experience.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 3 (of 20 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Lift to the floor | 3 of 20 posts |
| Toilet inside | 2 of 20 posts |
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 20 posts |
The restaurant is on the third floor, reached by lift: three posts took it up, two of them noting there are three lifts. One describes a waiting hall as you step out.
No one says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair can get in. One post points wheelchair users to the lifts and several mention strollers lent for indoor use, but none describes going in by wheelchair. That is a gap in the posts, not a no.
Two posts put the toilets inside the restaurant and one says they are separate for men and women. No one mentions an accessible toilet.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 25 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The crab takes time: one post waited over 30 minutes, another says steaming takes about an hour, a third got its first dish after about 20 minutes. Posts say the table-setting dishes fill the gap.
- No one went by public transport. Two posts give a route (Donghae Line to Osiria, then bus 139, 1001 or 183 to Dongam Humun) but copied it from the listing. One post walked about 10 minutes from Ananti.
- Crab is sold at market price, so it varies: six posts give 90,000 won per kg (April and October 2026), one a sale from 75,000 down to 60,000 (25 June–12 July 2026), one 278,000 won for 4 kg in early August. Every post gives the same 7,000-won table charge. Two posts call it on the expensive side; one calls the table setting good value. One got a 10% discount for public-sector staff.
- Crab ramyeon went up: 15,000 won for the small in an April 2026 post, 20,000 (30,000 for the large in one) in three October posts. A July post lists the medium at 15,000, so we can only place the rise between July and October.
- The table setting seems to have changed: posts up to early September 2026 list sashimi, cold raw-fish soup, fried shrimp or squid rings, futomaki and soup; from mid-September smoked duck appears and no one mentions anything fried. Chilli crab was called new in April 2026; earlier course posts (July 2025–March 2026) had crab curry and black-pepper prawns instead.
- Sixteen visit posts give the same opening hours, 11:00–21:40 daily with last orders at 20:30, though almost all copy the listing. Two say there is no closing day. One says weekend and holiday bookings run in fixed slots at 11:00, 13:10, 15:10, 17:10 and 19:10.
- Eight posts give the phone number as 0507-1438-3638 and two as 051-722-2000. Several say you can book through Naver or by phone.
- Five posts were not counted: write-ups pasted from the listing (one says so outright) and roundups of Gijang restaurants or places near a golf course, repeating the same hours and prices with no account of eating there. Two October 2026 posts are the same blogger writing up the same visit twice.
