Subaekdang Busan Gamcheon-jeom

수백당 부산감천점 Subaekdang is the chain's brand name ('dang' means house or hall); one post guesses it comes from the chain's slogan about eating well to live to a hundred.

A branch of a sundae-and-pork-soup chain on Gamcheon-ro in Saha-gu, Busan, right next to the Top Mart in Gamcheon-dong. We read 30 posts from June 12 to October 23, 2026; one was not about this place, and 29 record an actual meal. The most-ordered dish, in 18 posts, is the sundae soup set (15,000 won per person), which brings a separate plate of meat sundae, rice-cake sundae and garlic pork. Pork soup and plain sundae soup are 10,000 won; hot pots run from 15,000 to 22,000 won per person with a two-portion minimum. Free rice-puff ice-cream sandwiches are offered after the meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Twenty-four posts mention topping up side dishes from the self-serve corner. Three say napa kimchi isn't on the table but is in that corner; one found it had run out. With a hot pot, instant-noodle add-ins are free and unlimited, and extra broth is given on request.
  2. Nineteen posts say the portions are large — more meat and sundae than rice, in one phrase — and three writers passed meat to their partner because they couldn't finish.
  3. Twelve posts say the sundae, pork or broth had no gamey smell; none said otherwise. One notes the meat sundae contains no blood.
  4. Four posts went with children and five mention high chairs; in one, a staff member carried a chair to a safer seat away from the hot pots. There is a separate children's soup at 5,000 won, rice included.

  1. Twenty-one posts call the room spacious — one guesses over 100 pyeong, another room for about 100 people. Wooden partitions divide the seating, mostly four-tops, and four posts saw tables set aside for group bookings.
  2. Eight posts mention free coffee from a machine next to the ice-cream dispenser.

Parking

22 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park22 of 29 posts

The lot is right in front of the door. Of 28 posts that touch on parking, 22 describe using or seeing it, 17 call it large, and one counts roughly eight spaces. Eleven posts say they drove; one family brought two cars at 11:30 and parked easily. One post warns it may fill on evenings and weekends and suggests the Top Mart lot next door (an hour free with a 10,000-won purchase).

Getting inside

Toilet inside1 of 29 posts
Separate restrooms1 of 29 posts

No post says which floor the restaurant is on or whether there are stairs. That doesn't mean it's at street level — nobody wrote about it.

Nobody mentioned an entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller.

Only two posts mention the toilets: one says they are right next to the self-serve bar, the other that they are separate for men and women. Nothing on accessible toilets.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Much of this is promotional: three posts disclose sponsorship, one was a reviewer programme, and only one says the writer paid. Eight posts end with an identical string of 23 hashtags, and the same tail appears elsewhere. Claims about 75 franchise branches and a three-year consumer brand award are the chain's own words, repeated, and we don't rely on them.
  • Twenty-five posts give the same hours, 10:00 to 22:00 daily, and fifteen give last orders at 21:30 — though most copy them from the map listing. Four say there is no closing day and three say there is no afternoon break.
  • One post went by bus, saying it is a four-minute walk from the Samsung Girls' High School and Jungang U Hospital stops. Another says it isn't near a subway station, so a car, bus or taxi is better. The rest drove or didn't say.
  • Nobody reports waiting. One weekend visit at about 5 p.m. saw the room nearly fill soon after, and one weekday early dinner ended with almost every seat taken; one writer thought they'd have queued had they come a little later.
  • The upcharge for a large soup differs: two posts say +2,000 won, one says +1,000 won. A meal costs 10,000 to 11,000 won for soup, 15,000 won for the set, and 15,000 to 22,000 won per person for hot pot (two-portion minimum, rice 1,000 won extra).
  • Sixteen posts list the phone number as 0507-1467-2151; one gives 051-206-2112 instead. Four posts saw reserved group tables, and one suggests calling ahead for groups.
  • Cold noodles are a summer item: a June 2026 post says they had just started, and the September menu lists cold noodles with bulgogi at 15,000 won. We don't know whether they're still served after October.
