Yungkangjjie Busanyeok Jigyeongjeom

융캉찌에 부산역직영점 Yungkangjjie is the Korean rendering of Yongkang Jie (永康街), the Taipei street famous for its food stalls and beef noodle shops — this is the Busan Station branch of a Busan Taiwanese chain.

Compiled from 26 blog posts read in fullSources →

A Taiwanese restaurant in a side street of Choryang-dong, straight across from Exit 7 of Busan Station — the station branch of the Yungkangjjie chain, after the Gwangalli original and Seomyeon. Beef noodle soup (11,000 won) is the anchor, with tantanmyeon, changyingtou and mapo tofu rice (10,000–11,000 won) plus fried eggplant and cream shrimp. You order from a tablet or kiosk at the table, and a self-serve bar in the middle of the room has free rice, pu-erh tea and suan cai. We read 30 posts dated 14 August to 24 October 2026; 27 describe an actual meal, two were about other places and one only introduces the restaurant.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Expect a wait at lunch and on weekends. Eight posts waited, noting 10 minutes (Friday 12:15), 15 minutes (weekday noon), 20 minutes (Sunday, signed up 13:10), 40 minutes (Sunday 1 pm) and an hour (weekend); one found four parties already ahead at 10:50, twenty minutes after opening. Three walked straight in — on a Tuesday, right at opening, and at 7 pm on a weekday. A solo diner was seated at once while groups waited. The CatchTable waitlist is split by party size (1, 2, 3–4); one writer says the cap is four, so larger groups must register separately. One post notes there is no waiting area — you hover by the door.
  2. Sixteen posts describe the seating: a long single-seat bar along the windows and two- and four-person tables further in. The solo bar comes up again and again; one writer says the queue order shifts depending on which table size frees up. Four called the room spacious, one said it is not large.
  3. Six posts went back to the self-serve bar for more rice or suan cai — mostly to mix extra rice into leftover sauce; one refilled the suan cai twice.
  4. Of the eleven visits that ordered the fried eggplant, nine called it crisp. One writer spooned the sauce over the top because the flat plate made dipping awkward; another found the cream shrimp batter a little hard.

  1. Thirteen posts walked from Busan Station: cross at the plaza, turn into the lane beside the Twosome Place café, one to three minutes.

Parking

1 posts say you can park; 5 say you cannot. We leave the disagreement standing rather than picking a side.

There is no lot of its own. Five drivers could not park there and used the Chinatown public lot or the paid lot next to Twosome; two were turned away from the adjacent Marina lot. Only one post — whose writer came on foot — mentions a small space right in front. Several copied a note that parking is not validated.

Getting inside

Toilet inside1 of 26 posts
Separate restroomsyes 0 · no 1 (of 26 posts read)

No one described the floor from experience. The address says ground floor and one post mentions a white standalone building with a red door, but nobody said whether there are steps up to it.

Nobody mentioned a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. One family came with a baby but did not describe the entrance — this means unknown, not absent.

Only one post mentions the toilet: a small, unisex one inside the restaurant. Nobody else described it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Hours were given identically in 19 posts: 10:30–20:30, weekday break 15:30–16:30 (none on weekends), last order 20:00 — mostly copied from the listing. The closing day changed: posts up to mid-September say closed every Tuesday; later posts quote the shop's notice that it went open every day after 22 September (from Chuseok). One October writer went on a Tuesday and found no queue.
  • One price went up between early and late October: fried eggplant was 7,500 won in posts through 4 October and 8,500 won on 23–24 October. Beef noodles (11,000), cream shrimp (13,000) and mapo rice (10,000) held steady. A meal is one noodle bowl at 10,000–11,500 won with free rice; two writers called the prices reasonable.
  • The cold Chinese-style noodles are a summer dish — eaten in August and around Chuseok, but a 23 October writer could not find them and assumed they were off for the season. The braised pork rice bowl is limited; two writers found it sold out.
  • Ten posts list the phone number 0507-1361-4240. None mention taking reservations; everyone queued via the CatchTable remote waitlist or the machine at the door.
  • Service splits one to one: one writer found the staff very kind, another did not.
  • Several posts share the same phrases in the same order — across the crosswalk from the station, Michelin 2024 and again 2026, a dedicated luggage area — and look like commissioned copy. Two writers point out the Michelin listing belongs to the Gwangalli original; we treat it as the shop's own claim and do not rely on it, nor on luggage, parking or wifi lines copied from info blocks.
